Tarot cards

A friend eventually persuaded me to go and get a reading as I normally do not believe in these things.

Travelled through to Kirkcaldy and went in, was taken to a small room and I had to mix the cards and pick 15

I could not believe how accurate she was and even mentioned the name of someone and knew the exact situation without me giving anything away

I always thought, if they could do this, then why cant they pick winning lotto numbers?

But my reading was accurate to the point of being spot on.

"I always thought, if they could do this, then why cant they pick winning lotto numbers?"

Because its woo woo nonsense, and even nonsense gets it right a small percentage of the time.

You gave them plenty time to research you.

What details did they ask for before you turned up.

I'm skeptical about it, to the point that I think it is very much social psychology. Watch the Derren Brown shows on Psychics.

However, my father visited a psychic years before I was born, and this psychic told him lots of "nonsense" at the time. Fast forward 30yrs, and all of it came true

Sadly thats what my best friend did. She was in remission from cancer with no hope of having children due to treatment. A tarot card reader said she would have 2 within a few years. She believed him but she died 18months later childless. Giving people false hope is cruel.

But if it gave her hope then surely that was more for her.

But if your the sort of person that will believe something a stranger you are paying to tell you then you really need to have a think if someone has a "gift" why are they charging?

If you'd had a "genuine" reading you would have been told that the Death card does not exclusively indicate death.

Not quite tarot cards but I've been to a spiritualist before.

I tragically lost my eldest son last year and the lady I went to see knew things that only he and I knew. I was always sceptical of these things till I met this lady. There was no way for her to know who I was before I turned up at her door.

Sorry for your loss. I hope that this lady gave you some comfort, and didn't charge you for doing so.

Thank you.

A lot of comfort. I'd go back again because I actually felt like I was talking to my son again through this lady.

Not sure personally had some tarot readings and psychic readings in general total pants others spot on and some made no sense to me but someone else, I partly believe in the laws of attraction and often when I think about people or situations they appear to come to fruition and I have always had dreams since childhood that are premonitions and deja vu happens alot, my great grandmother read tea leaves, I have been told I have the gift but have never used it. Its one of those things I sit on the fence with and so long as it doesn't hurt people and folk don't obsess about it then I don't see any harm in having any form of belief
