Why would a message thread vanish from messages

If someone leave the site the message still shows doesn’t it ? But says user no longer on site or is that simply for a saved message and a forum post

Had something similar happen recently. Assumed they deleted the profile or blocked us.

Maybe they changed how deleted profile messages show. That's the only other thing I can come up with.

There was a site announcement a few months back that said they had changed how messages work, and if someone is removed from the site, either by choice or Admin, then any messages also go.

The other night there was post, a Bitchy one and for some reason the next day it was gone, searched it by name, nada then the other day it appeared again then new post POLICE appeared but that has gone or I can't see it for some reason, maybe a glitch or its been totally removed as I think the person claimed there was private abusive messages sent and police called.

according to the site if a member leaves the site then all messages go too where as before the message would remain with unlos in the heading
