Do you ever look at someone’s pictures and get instantly drawn to how messy/dirty/minging their room is. Of course the pictures could be taken in someone else’s house but chances are it really is theirs. Then you think, boak. Is it just me?

I don't mind a little mess, I stay mindful that messy isn't the same as dirty.

Someone might not be great at putting away things when they're done with them, or hampering their laundry, etc., but it doesn't automatically mean they don't change their sheets regularly, or that they let scum build up in the loo and sinks. I've seen homes where everything looks nice and tidy but up close, there's sticky surfaces and filthy toilet bowls. Appearances can be deceiving.

As someone who has dealt with terrible phases of depression where taking care of myself seems too much, let alone the house, I know sometimes running around with the hoover feels like climbing a mountain. Would I personally tidy the background before taking a photo I'm using to show my best self, yes, but I won't condemn someone for not doing so. If someone's place looks gross, I'd decline an invitation, but I wouldn't shame them for it. My home is clean but it's just an average house, I'm sure to some it looks like a palace, yet to others, not up to scratch. Shrug.

On the plus side you can show your superiority by showing how spick and span you are by making a post about it

We all make an assessment of pics, it just depends on what your eye is drawn to

Oh I've seen a few scary sights.

However, I have also looked at pictures and seen some gorgeous kitchens, home decor, furniture etc. To the point I've not even noticed who is in the picture

I remember being invited to a ladies flat for some fun on a previous profile.

We had spoken for a good few months and we were eventually both free for a meet.

Once I arrived I was greeted by an unpleasant smell and was lead to the sitting room where there was a mess in every corner.

Clothes piled up, dirty plates on the table, Chinese takeaway boxes piled up in the corner of the room.

As lovely and pretty as the girl was, this was a deal breaker for me and I made my excuse and left.
