Just need to put it down to experience but regarding the hotel always make it a 50/50 split its only fair as everyones going to be having fun .

If your booking always ask them to send their share before meeting, if they are genuine they wont mind but if they are timewasters they will probably refuse to do so & that will save you being in this situation again .

Naming and shaming is against the site rules.

What I'd say to do instead of a hotel meet, is to get along to your most convenient club on an appropriate night or an arranged social. Although your partner has said "Never again" she may be enticed back in after experiencing the Social side of things.

I always meet for a social first and if I’m booking a room I try and get one that allows for late cancellation.

At least you still had fun with each other.

Best go to a club or social meet that way you can meet people face to face and no one letting anyone down.

We would be a bit weary if a guy was organising a meet for him and his wife on a single male profile . Did both females speak on phone or was it all done over your single profile as that would ring bells for us too.

Reason why we dont do private arranged meets. Haven't been stung yet by this sort of thing due to rather doing social meets that private ones.

It was arranged on my profile yeah thing is wife picked them out of a few we were looking at i messaged we exchanged face pics then phone call then face time i booked hotel they emailed that day we were all good then when we arrived at the room.i realised we were blocked and a no show there was some good advice given from posters so thanks but its gonna take some persuasion to get good lady to agree to anything now that meet took me 26 years

Should have met for a social first, if another couple won’t consider a chat beforehand then they’re not for us.

Well the social thing i took on board but our inexperience bit us on the arse i thought after calls face times and emails we would be ok so i take on board all advice at the end of the day im 120 quid down and feel stupid

We used to get this all the time. We're not keen on clubs as some suggest. Miss dynamite advise is best here. Get the other couple to send you half the money when you book it. And make sure it's you that does the booking. That way you know it won't be cancelled beforehand. If they

don't show you just have a great night with the good lady and you've only lost hallf what you would have.

I'd be cautious about sending money to someone I hadn't met yet

But that's why I prefer a social, or at least book a room myself that I wouldn't mind staying at myself in expectation of a no show.

People do get cold feet at the last moment,it's only natural especially if they themselves haven't met anyone before... that's no reason tho to block you or have the common decency to inform you

Yeah I’ve had a few no shows,

One recently with a verified couple arranged a social who sent pics and had read my messages .

Then the profile disappeared.

Strange.

Possible they set up a fake verified profile?

Or blocked me for turning up
