So most profiles seem to indicate they want a social first, my thinking, a wander round the xmas market and stop at the bar for a drink then see what happens....

Well maybe it's worth another shout... try everything twice 1) so you have something to compare with 2) first time might have been the bad experience of the two

It's a great place to have one I prefer socials for first meetings but not everyone likes to do them they just want to jump into action.

Different horses for different courses, it does make it easier for me to find decent people

Really depends on the convo flow beforehand.. most people have principles for a social first.. Some will trust each other and go straight for action..

Edinburgh market was packed when i was there last weekend. I wonder how many fabbers were there too
