Do you take Christmas all in your stride.

Are you always super organised or are you a leave it the last min person?

Im always organised for Christmas as Im usually in the states for thanksgiving so always armed with a list as tall as me sometimes lol

I’ve been stressed the past few years but only because uni assignments and exams are at this time of year. If I only had Christmas to contend with, I’d be fine.

I'm a last minute mad dasher, 23rd is usually our xmas shopping trip.

I'm not allowed to buy Xmas pressies early, kids end up finding them or I give in and have to buy a replacements.

Im organised when it comes to the food. Get my butcher meat ordered month in advance but pic up 23rd aswell.

Everything else in life I'm organised just not Xmas.

Last minute for me normally struggle to think of what to get people l tend to put it off,bit more organized this is year as I have been away a fair bit of December .

The weight falls off me every December as i find the build up to Christmas so busy and very stressful. My life is hectic at the best of times so all the extra running around takes its toll.

I couldn’t do this. I like shopping about for a bargain. Got wee mini me a Lego set from amazon for £65 and it cost £80 from smyths. I like a saving, means I can buy her more! My teenage son is an issue this year! I’m fucking clueless!!!!!

I'm a pro at last minute hahaha been doing it for past 10 years , I try keep eye out online and in shops so any deals I can click and collect on 23rd , but I'm absolutely shite at bargain hunting, my mum never passed her tricks on to me lol.

I can't even go into poundland and come out only spending few pound I'm above £70 every time, hubby shakes his head everytime but Love matching colour shampoos and kitchen soaps, sprays etc..... So it's just pointless even trying haha.

But when it comes to party dress I can find great bargains funny that lol

My oldest two were great, they didn't give into the peer pressure, had they own style and things they liked but my 14 Yr old it's absolutely terrible, doesn't want same items as friends but same name brands that bit more expensive. Oh and plus his wee gf likes perfume and it's not the cheap kind

I’m never organised for anything tbh unless I’m being paid for it then I’m super organised and mega ocd normally my tree is up on my birthday 1st but it’s still not up yet lol I’m pretty impatient and if I start early I start stressing about forgetting things and making myself ill so I’ve gave up trying and just wait and do it all last minute

Well mine have been getting cash or buying their own presents for years lol I don’t see the point now in trying for little surprises cash and the usual underwear smell lies and chocolate

I think we all make it so hard for ourselves. So many expectations and pressures for the "perfect" Christmas which never happens.

A few years ago our family decided to scale it all down. Simplify where we could and make it less financially led. I've got to say we've never had better times. Kids get what they need all year round so Christmas has now become a token gift for everyone and a charity gift in their name. Meal is easier but just as delicious and eagerly anticipated. We don't buy excessive food as if the shops won't open for a week either.

We don't celebrate the religious side of it all as we are not believers but we greatly celebrate the meaning of family and togetherness. That doesn't need to cost hundreds of pounds. Just a little time, thought and love.

I know. The wee ones still believe in santa and think he's loaded haha, the 14 Yr old knows santa no real and mum and dad will be skint if he gets all but does he care naw lol as long as he has 4 designer items on his back to show off to his girlfriend and mates riding his £250 bike in the snow hahahaha ,he's getting money next year for sure and I bet he'll no be buying designer shite with it. It will be primark and officers club coz it's his money. Hubby and I are the suckers.

Totally. This time last year we took the 2 youngest to lanzerote for a week, that was their Xmas pressie,14 and 6 Yr old loved it and such great happy memories were made, got home to a few wee gifts and they were happy. Bloody cheaper going on holiday.

We are not religious either and it's true they get all year round and all that money for one day, 10 minutes and all pressies opened and that's that. If it wasn't for the wee one only 6 think we would just skip Xmas.

I'm very organised in everything but just not Xmas. In saying that I finished everything, all wrapped and away from my flat now. Just not bothered about it, I simply can't get in the mood for Xmas anymore x

Personally I find Christmas quite depressing. All the hype and almost a forced view that it should be magical, amazing and that you should be blissfully happy .

I always make the effort, I've always really worked hard to make it magic and special for my boy's. I'm an expert at baby Powder footprints and elf letters. My boys have always appreciated it too . However this year I decided not to buy into everyone else's ideal. So I convinced them a holiday and swimming with dolphins was better than Christmas gifts, a lavish dinner and tree etc . So for once I'm not going to be frantically wrapping and sobbing into a glass of fizz at 2am on Xmas morning!

Hopefully this new type of Christmas will be a bit with my boys so we can do it again! X

I'm sure it will. After all, it's the people who are round your tree rather than the gifts that make it special. I hope you all have a blast with the dolphins.
