Should there be a secret handshake that fabbers use like the Freemasons?

No

Folk will think you're weird if you use your penis to shake their hand

I dont have penis but think its a bit weird to shake hands these days. I would rather kiss on the cheek and whisper in someones ear.

Haha you might be on to something. Fab was one of my favourite words on civvy street (blame the Beatles?!) so maybe only natural I should end up here

Actually sounds like a good idea . Maybe not a hand shake as not alot of people do that these days. But a phrase to be answered with a certain reply would be good. Obviously one u dont sound like a complete nutter saying though lol

Always wondered when chatting to someone in real life if they say fab about something if they are hinting or it is just a comment

Seems like this has got the idea juices flowing, handshakes, phrases, nods, winks, nail varnish and whispering in the ear.

But which one should it be?

Glasgow

Just dawned on me this morning that I was subject to a “Fab hello” on Saturday night. (I can be a bit slow).

In the local pub and stood between two groups of friends (mixed sexes) and chatting to both. Then one of the guys - who I quiz with regularly - started stroking my face and in a rather camp OTT fashion said something like “Your beard is so soft. It’s fabulous. Don’t worry. We used to do this in the military all the time.” This is when I’d given him a “WTF look”. Shrugged it off as drink.

Then a few days later recalling the weirdness if it, I remembered seeing a “Near by” profile a few weeks previously (in the countryside so not that many kicking around) and recalled a man, similar age within a mile that mentioned his past military career.

Penny dropped. Figured he’d stumbled on my profile and probably didn’t have too much trouble working out it was me. Can’t find his profile now though!
