Mine is quite detailed because there are a lot of points to make. I find one line profiles to scream lazy, no effort in a profile says they won’t make any effort at sex

Why should I? You don’t put anything on your profile and there’s nothing to attract me in the first place, so I’ll move on to someone who does advertise themselves. It’s not rocket science.

The bottom line is everyone is entitled to write what they want. If you feel its too long then pass it by. I would rather the profile intrigued me than bored me but we all like different things on here which can only be a good thing.

We have a long detailed profile because we are newish and finding our feet in the swinging world . I'm sure as time passes we might feel more comfortable trying everything, being more adventurous so the profile will shorten.

So we detail what we like what we don't so people know first hand what we want . If we didn't you can emagine home many times we would have to repeat our preferences, likes dislikes to every message we get 1000s . Would be no time to fuck as u say would be too busy replying to everyone. So we put it out there first. If it attracks like minded couples then bonus for us then we can get to nitty gritty chat and meet up, organise socials etc, party and have fun

Some points made are kinda true though. When I get a message I look at the profile. If it's just a line or two with no real info, I tend to just skip to the next. I don't need war and peace no. But if someone is trying to catch my interest, and there's nothing of interest on their profile, it's difficult to get interested... At the opposite end of the scale are the really long ranty profiles with a load of do's, dont's and hoops to jump through. They can be just as offputting. But they don't tend to belong to guys.

Exactly - it’s a swingers site, for those in the swinger lifestyle. Not instashag.

Regardless, you want to draw people to you, do you not? You may have some things that you’re looking for, so why wouldn’t you put them in your profile to attract people with similar interests/kinks? It’s your shop window, would you go into a shop that didn’t have anything on display to entice you in? No. Don’t see why that’s so hard for so many single men to understand.

I find the more successful people on here, singles and couples, are the ones who put a bit of effort in. If you choose not to do that, then you can’t be surprised when people pass you by.

I fail to see how reading a super short profile saves you any time if you will be chatting and have to read the answers to your 'just ask' approach anyway. What difference does it make if what someone considers their important info is all out there in a long profile, or you learn it all in PM? Knowing all pertinent info from a profile does save time, because if it doesn't work for you, you can move on without the frustrating process of realising incompatibility after several messages.

Personally, a longer profile says to me the person/s have put in effort, and are more likely to actually be into swinging than the hoards of one-liner profile folk who think that all they have to do to 'get sex' is join the site and wait for the inevitable tail to roll in with no effort on their part. Being social is very important to a lot of us.

My profile is on the lengthy side because I want it to be, and deem everything I say on there necessary to avert those I'm not interested in. Even then, it doesn't always help! But any messages I get from people who clearly haven't read a word are deleted immediately. If you can't be bothered to read what I've written, I'm not going to give you my time. Likewise if your profile only says 'just ask' or some such, that leaves nothing to go on at all, and I will skip by every time.

It’s long because we’ve had to deal with a lot of dick heads over many years of swinging

It’s long because we have found a list of things that we do not want

It’s long because you’ll not have to ask us the same questions we get asked everyday

Just think of a long profile as an ingredient list on a good pack - read it all - that way you won’t die from a peanut allergy

I would absolutely walk into a shop with nothing on the window. What's in there? Who runs it? I bet it's awesome stuff that you cant find anywhere else. Besides I still don't see how you can be attracted to someone without chatting/meeting/actually spending time. I put that I'm the very best and enthusiastic in the field on a CV for job, but so did hundreds not others, so it's all meaningless.

Also, a shorter profile leaves less chance of spelling mistakes like "pease"

Of course people then have to chat to see if there's an attraction. The point is that in order to chat, there needs to be a reason to stop and look. And for many single men on this site, they don't get that.

having a short profile some times is not laziness as some folk are just not good at writing about themselves and if you were to tell everything on the profile it would leave nothing to the imagination of what will happen on a night as it has already been laid out .
