I know this isn't exactly the right place for this post but does anyone know how to fix an invertor on a TV for as cheap as possible? Ours has just failed and we're on a very tight budget what with the little one on the way, thanks in advance.

Nowadays you will be hard pushed to repair any electronics to component level.

Best you will manage is a new power supply board. Google the make model and you should find places or search ebay.

Changing a board is easy enough.

Usually if u put the model number into e Bay u can find parts for it cheap if the invertors on a board it's cheaper just replacing the board
