We just cannot say no!

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

We class ourselves as usually polite and we like to personally answer each message or wink.

Along the way we have made some good friends, some possible good friends and some people who we were not right for.

We try to be honest and open with people and not waste their time but we also try to be friendly when we do say no.

Just recently we have noticed that on several occasions when we have said "no thank you" people have sent really nasty messages back and then blocked us. It seems to be happening more and more.

Why are people so nice one second when they want to get to know you and then total gits when you say no?

Has anyone else noticed this?

If I’m declined, sure it’s disappointing but you just wish the person a good day and move on, absolutely no need to be a prick about it I can’t get my head round those attitudes

All of the problems we have had are actually from couples...

Seems odd. Never really had a snarky message back from a couple. Why bother really? A lot of nice couples to choose from.

outside your bedroom window ;-)

Achhh the anonymity of this sometimes brings out the worst in people, it's a tad like Twitter.

Set your own standards on how you treat people and if someone takes a huffy puff, let them embarrass themselves.

Thankfully this does not seem to happen to me. I think guys just appreciate a no thank you rather than being ignored or blocked.

I once declined a couple and the guy asked which one of them put me off. Way to throw your Mrs under the bus

Just be thankful you never met them if that's their true colours.

If I am declined I thank them for responding and move on, I guess for some it’s frustrating that they will largely get no response but that’s. One use to be a dick about it, they prob forget that couples and single women get hammered with messages

Some people can't handle rejection I'd say you swerved some bad ones that's how I look at it.

Report and block that's what I do

I see it both ways. If I get a polite thanks, but no thanks, I appreciate it, say so, and leave them be.

If someone reads and deletes my message, then I may mutter a few misgivings in my head about the fact they couldn't spare a few seconds to be polite, then move on, whilst accepting I'm not for everyone.

I've also encountered the expletive-typing better than thou troll variety. "You should be fucking ashamed. You are scum." is one example. Those are the ones I see as a dodged bullet, and they go straight on my blocked list if they haven't beat me to it.

As for people messaging me - I'm a guy, married and honest. Therefore people, other than guys, making the first move is rare. I always send a polite reply, though, and any who I've felt were not for me have always either been polite back, or kept chancing their arm. The chancers I ignore.

Like others before -a no thank you does not fill you with joy but it is nice to be acknowledged at least, deleted or unread just shows that the Girl/Couple has far too many messages and again, shame would have been nice but...so you move on and hope for the best xx Respect and Kindness does not need to fly out of the window just because we like sex.

Today I received two messages at the same time and as is my habit I asked for face pic. Both men sent me a face pic and since neither tickled my pickle I sent a message declining and wished them luck. One guy sent me a mouthful of abuse and bravely blocked me before I could reply and the other thanked me for taking time to decline. Seems quite a mixed bag on here.

Does any guy actually think being abusive will change the other person's mind or is it just to make themselves feel like they are not the problem? I don't see any need for abuse,no thank you means look elsewhere to the majority I hope.

We have had the same from couples. Offended that we cant meet or dont want to meet them. Some people have high opinions of themselves and cant handle rejection

We haven't had any nasty messages at all from anyone , we however have had a persistent couple who would not stop insisting we go on cam even though it states on our profile we don't do cam but I was nice about it said we prefer to meet in person socially, 5 messages later they understand but just to verify that we are real, we should have a chat with them then we can watch them!!! I said we do not do cam as we have children at home, our 6yr old silent ninja who appears from nowhere often comes into our bed so last thing I want to do is scar my child. This again was not taken as a no so 6th message was sorry I have to block you both, to which reply was we can cam and talk about this I gave up and blocked them.

I just had my first nasty message actually. My profile clearly says I can't do last minute hotel meets. Guy messages at 11.30pm asking me to go to his hotel. I replied read my profile. He replies that he was just hoping to do a bit for charity, not get into a sarcastic debate! Then blocks me I just think it must be sad to be such a pathetic loser...
