Over there

In an attempt to cut down plastic I'm using soap at sinks and shower.

Problem is I'm struggling to find soap that isn't 'rose petal lah-de-dah' or granny's best Palmolive...

So, what vaguely manly smelling soap?

(that isn't £48+delivery from some poncy online shop)

You can borrow my shower head but it might need a clean first

L'occitane milk soap. Yeah it's expensive, but it lasts for ages!

Ah, is that also not the one my granny had along with the odd loo paper that felt like grease proof paper?

I need to go to Boots for a sniff....

You do know using a bar of soap in the shower dries your skin out?

Something that attracts ladies like a fly to dead fruit...

You're right, so far my research has been Tesco Metro and Waitrose, neither the ideal location for such things..

Little soap company in Boots. Their avocado, olive oil or oatmeal bars are really nice and don’t smell like your granny’s pot pourri!

Australian black soap. Can only get it in shops like TK maxx and really hard to find but it's amazing

Did exactly the same here. Went with plain dove soap as cheap and easy and relatively neutral scent. Got a different one for daughter to use, and then got dettol antibacterial soap bar for hands

Dove. Doesn't stink, doesn't dry your skin and doesn't leave a horrible residue.

Bulldog soap from boots has satisfied my need to feel all manly and smell ok, while also being nicer to the planet.

Win.
