"Greek - tomato and feta roasted aubergine, with handmade lemon and thyme wedges. Indian - veggie balti/madras Italian - red pepper and basil soup and mascarpone pasta bake. British - apple sausage (soy) casserole, with French grain and, cream mashed potatoes. Scottish - bottle of buckfast. " French grain mustard* and the broth is apple, not the sausage.

"Very seldom do i cook. Tonight i had a tin of beans for dinner and yesterday i had pate on toast. This is not because i can not cook but mainly because i dont like being stuck in the kitchen slaving over an cooket. I do however make lovely lentil soup." Invest in a slow cooker that way you have a decent meal and less time in the kitchen x

"Just something a little different to chat about. I love to cook for someone or or various peeps even. Something I've fell into over the years and found such enjoyment from. I'm told it's not every guy who likes to cook ect so open discussion please. And if anyone likes then say what you feel is the best thing you cook." My Mum taught me to cook, her principal was good basic food but don’t be afraid to switch it up, I love cooking but I’m no chef, friends and family love it mostly and I have sons who are fab (no pun intended ) in the kitchen. Just enjoy together

"Home cooking for me. However, on the health side, I'm getting a bit concerned when baking, by the amount of sugar required by the average cake recipe, so that is being reduced." You should try using light brown sugar, you don't have to use as much. Sweet cinnamon powder and vanilla essence adds to the sweetness too. So you can cut the refined sugar.

"Ok - what about the best snack to cook ? For me - chicken flavoured super noodles on toast every time " The best snacks require no cooking - I always have cheese slices, mini hot dogs, and jars of olives and sundried tomatoes in the fridge. Mostly carb free, so ideal for me as a snack. Mandy
