I am noticing such a massive change in fab, or am getting so much older lol don’t reply x

The young team coming on board It’s getting more like Facebook,insta and just a lot more egos and divas lol x

On a serious not I think it’s changing so much and not for the better at one time fab was elusive and had that summit special to it.

Or is it just me am far from behind on shit like my designer clothes and Botox and oh I do have an iPhone watch lol and iPad and a 60 inch TV lol my point is fab is loosing its touch I think.

Do others think the same???

10 years ago Fab was more of a conduit to arrange meets with like minded people.

See the same on other more dating platforms too. Nobody meets or goes on dates anymore.. Social media and the likes of tinder (and lots on here too) is overun with young girls chasing the model dreams promoting their own Instagram pages with zero intention of chat or dates or meets. Spot em a mile off.. End up reporting them on pof tinder etc. Fab is becoming much more mainstream and soft id say.

It’s used to be a community but it seems more fractured now.

It’s mostly people who want a fuck with minimum effort. I prefer to have a ‘connection’ with my play pals and this new generation of fabbers just don’t do it for me.

I hardly meet these days. Can’t be bothered with fragile egos and people who can’t even string a sentence together

Fully agree with this, been a long time fabber circa 2005/06.

Been on and off the site due to relationships, commitments ect and as time has gone on it's like it's more of the norm when 10 or more years ago people who use the site now where probably the people who would cast aspersions on using the internet to hook up and make friends.

I too may just be getting older but back in my day I found fab to be way more fun and made some great friends, there just seemed to be a different mind set back then!

Took my time to reply to this and I have realised that since joining 10 years ago I have changed because fab has changed.

I no longer look for meets and instead wait for one to happen along, this is no doubt because of a couple of reasons. I'm older,there is a bigger pool for women and couples to choose from,that pool has fitter,younger guys in it,there are more women and couples whom annoy me in their demands and attitudes hence I don't mail them,I have become more cantankerous because of the Facebook like status updates and to be blunt (here we go with the 'what is a swinger' thing) less and less people on here are understanding of a swinger' lifestyle

This has turned me into a 'fab grump', I stay on here to keep in touch with people but other than that it serves no real purpose to me.

Very well put. I generally no longer look for meets, on the odd occasion I do it's kinda half arsed. There's no point in exerting any effort in to messages or keeping in touch etc. I dunno if I'm too old for this lifestyle now or folks expectations have just got out of control but I'm kinda fed up being left feeling like there's something wrong and inadequate with me so I'm just generally here for perusing the forum's now rather than expecting a meet even though I have plenty to offer.

Anyway, our paths crossed recently _tbs, I think you know that. You're a good lad but I do kinda wish your partner was in here lol

I think there are lots of different ways to use fab. We have never met anyone straight off fab. We have gone to big fab socials then went on from there. We also use it to keep in touch with people we met at clubs and have or have not got it on with that night.

I was on here years ago, definitely a massive change....not just on who is on here, but the amount of huge ego's who can't even be arsed to acknowledge or even briefly reply to a message. Manners cost bugger all at the end of the day. Think most are just interested in how many fabs their pics get, Facebook, insta, filtered photos and all the rest rule the roost now unfortunately. Also I think rose tinted spectacles could be playing a part here as well.

Just think as others have hit on,its a sign of the times, oodles of other instant contact options via apps and other online "one click" stuff.

Striving to be noticed and liked and thats all so many people crave via "fab my pics" etc.

Which i dont mind, if someones got hot pics to show and fun enough to show them,cool, here have a fab pic vote,not a problem.

Lots of research on phone addiction etc also proves so many people have developed a really low attention span generally, that might be a factor within this change in site use too, just a theory.

I’m an old-school Fab user who has been away for five years or more and just recently come back. I can definitely see a change, but I’m not judging it as worse (or better!) – just different.

The world has changed and whilst Fab itself hasn’t (the site is exactly the same) the way people are using Fab has.

Firstly, I think sexuality has changed over the past decade. People are more openly kinky/naughty in day to day life. Partly that’s the influence of the Internet and the wider freedom of access – to erotica/porn as well as just to other people. So maybe Fab isn’t as ‘out there’ as it used to be. It may even be seen as almost normal!

Secondly, people have learned ways of using social media. Twitter and Instagram aren’t for geeks any more, they’re for everybody. And some of those behaviours are bleeding over into how people use Fab. All those facile status updates aren’t because people genuinely come here to talk about the weather … they’re because people instinctively know that they have to keep making new posts or else nobody sees them and clocks through to their profile. It’s about constantly making ‘content’ and being in people’s update feed. It’s the attention economy …

All that aside though, I’m still finding myself having the same one-on-one chats through Fab messages that I would have been having years ago. Just with new people. Who seem lovely so far. And I’m still going to the same clubs and parties, who are still advertising on here. So for me, I guess, the more things have changed the more they have stayed the same.

We've been members continuously since around 2005. It still works for us. Not everyone is our cup of tea but those that are we usually end up meeting eventually. Some meets are days in the making and some meets have been years in the making. For us nothing has really changed on the site.

For me Fab hasn’t changed much in the recent time I’ve been on here. But it has changed like all things since I was here many moons ago.

The only thing that has changed is there are more people who have been here a good few years, and are older, ‘wiser’ , and don’t meet as often as they did before.

I include myself sometimes in the last wee bit, tbh.

But the social side, the meets, the differences of opinion will still go on, personally I’ve not seen the instasnappbook people on here, maybe I’m too old now to realise there about.

I'm very new here and have not quite taken everything in, I'm away most of the month so have not managed to meet up with anyone for a fab time. In relation to your comment tho, I've seen just as many profiles saying not skinny as not fat, not hairy or not smooth. What's by far the most common though is 'must be hung'

Yip same here. I get way more chat and dates of a sexier nature on other more regular dating sites. Its terribly difficult fighting your way through some folks personality barriers on here, when its just not like that elsewhere. Im just using up my remaining sub time then ill probably bin this too. Doesnt really work for guys like me on the whole. Bit of a pity really.

I think folk need to bite the bullet and meet instead of the bat and ball tennis of text messaging the initial sexy exchange into friend zoning each other. Lol

I hope they do move on but the trend is for FB type site.

I've made a very few good friends over time but hardly anybody is prepared to chat and take time get to know each other. Fun can be so much better then
