What made couples join fab and partake in the art of swinging? Who was the first to approach the subject?

I'm curious as to how it was brought up.

When I was on as a couple we’d tanned a fair amount of wine and gin and just started talking fantasies. Next day we had an account and about a month later our first of many meets. Ended as quickly as it started sadly.
