That is precisely why I like the great Scottish run.....the weather was dry last year unlike 2017...it was raining throughout the run...never got for enjoy the view

Edinburgh in under 3hrs Dundee just over (but had tonsillitis in the two weeks leading up to it so was pleased to even make start let alone finish) Kirkcaldy was way over 3hrs the hottest day there had been for months unexpected hills and a mile of cobbles. I’m looking forward to Glasgow hoping to do it in about same time as Edinburgh. Last long run this weekend and then it’s taper time

Just hate the run up st Vincent street....I had a chest infection last year and nearly quit half way up.

Only thing kept me going was my friend...she signed up for the race because of me. Did not want to let her down.....

Might not take much if you’ve done runs in the past but to only start running in January and have 4 under your belt in 9 months is something else. Yet to find a good app ParkRun’s and other groups are better at helping you find your pace.

It’s not always been easy, just doing one was my aim then I thought if I’m training for one why not do a second lol Kirkcaldy was a random and I had thought about Glasgow at very start anyway.

Gonna slow down over winter stick to 5km & 10km and building muscles up then see what next year brings

It's good to keep pushing and challenging yourself so go for the half, it's on the edge of doable and impossible. I did the Great North Run last weekend and loved every second of it, the atmosphere was fantastic. I love Glasgow so need to sign up for this one!

Good luck whichever you choose

Yeah that’s my plan as well not as toned as I was last year so a winter of runs to maintain then gym time the rest.
