A debate with my dear daughter about the merits (or concerns) with over 50s ladies wearing ripped jeans. I personally would with a leather biker jacket but whats the general opinion?

I've never seen the attraction with ripped jeans period.

Saying that mutton dressed as lamb is never a good thing no matter what the item is

I think you would rock them with a biker jacket... Think people should wear/do what makes them feel good. Don't think there's a rule anywhere that says over 50s should be wearing polyester and getting a blue rinse

Some will suit them, some won't, even those in their 20's. I love my heels, but also love putting on skinnies & converse.

If you think you look & feel good in them then go for it!

I actually agree with this. We all have our own unique style. I dont possess ripped jeans but have seen pics of over 50s carrying it off well.

Depends on the body type.

Iv seen larger men/women wear them and well not the best look.

Sometime you just need to be no way with yourself.

If you feel good just do it it shows individuality with a twist with the leather jacket especially white jeans

Don't think age should dictate how you dress or largely how u behave. Yeah sure we have responsibilities but it doesn't mean you don't get to enjoy life or who you are.

I'm not sure about buying ripped jeans, Im not a label person, but I suppose your daughter needs to keep up with the fashion, which costs money, I have had the same jeans for years and when they are past it, I cut them into shorts,

Agreed 100%... Also the blue rinse comment made me laugh and think of an early Lee Evans show lol. Brilliant. Yeah I'm 47 and definitely not about to buy a Bing Crosby album and a badly knitted cardigan lol.
