Everyone's definition of funniest will differ.

Myself, I like weird ones like Jerry Sadowitz and Johnny Vegas.

Chic Murray... What an absolute legend. There are so many great comedians in their own right but let's not forget Bob Monkhouse. Hours of one liners with perfect delivery.

Saw Jerry sadowitz this year. He was brilliant.

But my all time favourite comedian has to be Dave Allen.

Seen a bit of Britain’s greatest comedian last night. They were attempting to rank the top ten Billy Connelly got bumped down from No 1 to No 2, by Steve Coogan !!! Surely not !!! .... Billy Connelly is probably the first modern stand up.....and has been rocking it for years. does anyone know how it ended..... Coogan No 1 ?

I'm a big fan of Dara O'Briain. He's so witty, and his spontaneous back-and-forth with the front-row audience is very funny.

I sometimes think our sense of humour is the only really good thing Britain has going for it!

Steve Coogan deserves a mention in here.

Frank Skinner was a tour de force for a couple of decades too.
