Whats the point? why not just eat the fruit and drink the water.

Because it adds flavour to the water not everyone likes the taste of water

Yes it does depending on where the water is from, some have a rather salty and sulphuric taste, some are quite peaty etc it just depends how good your tastebuds are

The bottled water industry is worth millions. This includes flavoured waters i.e. water with a touch of lemon and lime for instance.

If you can do it yourself. Then why not...

Your stopping the capitalists like nestle and reducing plastic polution.

Win win situation.

On a side note water is very different and is very dependant on you location in the UK. It is all to do with the minerals that it flows through.

Water companies also take away and add to it to have it within government standards for drinking.

To make it more palatable you can by water filters which have become more popular in recent times.

Whilst water is flavourless, the water industry is massive. Water from different springs has a variety of differing levels of minerals and salts. This gives rise to their varied "taste".

Adding a fruit to infuse the water can be enough to neutralise the minerals or even make the water more palatable.

However, like sex, everyone likes water in their own ways

We don’t really care in scotland because we have great water. Other places around the world or London I can see the need for the infuser.
