its not about the film being good or bad , its about cineworld banning the screening of it in scotland , angus mcfadden (robert the bruce ) thinks its because they fear it will fire people up again as Braveheart did towards independence according to his twitter account a petition has actually been started so question was should folk stay away till they screen it and end this censorship are scots not smart enough to decide if it fires them up or not or do we need to be told by others?

TBF any film that dissects Scottish heritage is shit as they managed to make William Wallace out to be hero whereas he was as much as a savage as his English counterparts!! The guy pillaged and the r word that I dare not mention than the English did !! If you dig deep enough and read enough up on the history he wasn’t as sugar coated as we all believe !!! But anyway FREEDOM and all that jizz

2 things, firstly cineworld havent banned it, they have done their usual thing and stuck to studio films.

They rarely screen independant films like this one.

Second, I spoke to Angus on Wednesday and he knew that it wasnt going into cineworld, today he is acting like ita all a big surprise and has been milking it.

Dont really blame him as its free publicity, but I dont like the way he is using the tribal group think of all the wannabee william wallaces, our political situation is divisive enough as it is.

Reminiscent of outlander being delayed until after the Indy referendum by Cameron and Sony in incase it stirred up unrest amongst the sweaty jocks.

Bow down to your imperial masters.

Always good to hear the other side of the story. I’m sure there are other cinemas that will show it. Many independent films have gone on to be big successes.

"should Cineworld face a boycott for refusing to screen Robert the bruce?"

Nope it’s just daft. Films had zero promotion and it make the Indy movement look petty as fuck. (I’m pro Indy).

"should Cineworld face a boycott for refusing to screen Robert the bruce?"

Depends on thier pricing. Im local to vue at £5 a pop for films so if cineworld are more expensive then im joining the boycock squad regardless of what films their showing or not.
