was there in February and it was actually okay as I was hesitant at first!! I didn't want to do the whole normal tourist thing but found some nice bars and restaurants that the locals used just on the outskirts of the city

Barcelona has it all,city,beach and lovley ladies.The people are spot on also and have all of time for the Scottish,flights a doddle also and as cheap as chips,I've got a cousin who's a bit of a nomad and ended up in barca for a bit,went out when I could.

Yeah they do welcome the us Scots apart from the bar we went into the second night and they asked where in England are you from hahaha

Anywhere abroad which has a beautiful sandy beach and clear blue waters to swim in would be perfect right now. Wish I could snap my fingers and I'd be there in a blink of the eye x
