Had to cancel a couple of times in the past with genuine health reasons ie cold etc.

I actually had to cancel a meet last week with a lady I’ve been chatting too due to a medical issue I’ve been suffering with lately. She knows who she is

Had a couple who cancelled on me while I was almost at their front door. she even gave me the address .. Clearly I knew it was lies right away first of all i knew who the lassie was/work. Use to talk to her when I see her locally but she wasn't going to say till I tell her. it because I knew who she was and she went yes.. Like I was going to walk into a shop and say aye I met her on fab and shag her

we canceled a meet due to her Monthly's arriving a week early then found out the couple was bad mouthing us saying we made it up it was a group meet so it never mattered if we showed up or not as a few did... if the couple read this they will know who they are! It was a genuine reason.

On of the sad things on here is people using excuses rather than just saying they are not interested or have chickened out.

It means if you do have a genuine reason for cancelling you get put down as a timewaster.

This happened to me with a couple.... we had a social...got on really well.... all looking good then I had to cancel at 2 full days notice due to a change in arrangements for that day... was very apologetic... but nope...chance gone

I had a social meet that went really well and we made arrangements for that weekend. He messaged me 2 days later to tell me he wouldn't make it because he was giving things another shot with his ex. It happens so I wished him well.

4 weeks later he's still on here several times a day.

I'd rather he'd just said he changed his mind or that he wasn't interested instead of feeding me a load of bull.

He thinks it’s because they knew each other and had spoken to each other outside of fab though she didn’t say this till he asked if that was the reason

He wouldn’t have discussed fab when he met her after the meet or mention their meet to anyone

I wouldn't have believed you either

To be honest, I don't believe any excuse I hear anymore, because it's just happening too often (hence I mainly go for party and clubs these days, so if my date falls through I won't be sitting by myself).

Would definitely keep it to myself and not moan about it to anyone, on the off chance someone is actually telling the truth and if you make the shower and shave deadline I don't mind people bailing out x

I always told folk I can normally meet anytime however o don’t know from one day to the next how my health will affect me and low behold I can sleep through days and not wake up and have missed meets, doctors appointments, kids events you name it unfortunately that’s how my life is

I take cancellations as genuine and just happy they have contacted me to let me know. No point in winding myself up when I will never know whether it’s genuine or not. Although I get annoyed when people just don’t show.

One girl pretended she was outside my house and didn’t get an answer so left. Which was impossible.

Yes that does help thanks lol. trying not to write a novel while explaining.. She was worried coz I knew who she was and get put right off.. Not sure if her man was the only one that sees my face pic when I first sent it...she most have seen it after she sent the address than make the excuse but then she did met a local couple which I found strange if shes not keen on meet local.

Had a guy cancel with no excuse. Later he told us a girl , he was single, told him she was pregnant with his child so he had to stay with her to support her.

He does now have a child so maybe it was true.

I agree. I often think they were hoping to have lots of meets rather than one regular. Find they get back in touch when they realise they arent getting the meets and are desperate for sex.

Of course the standard excuses come out then, family issues appear to be the favourite?
