My dad is sadly no longer with us but we used to laugh as he liked to go for two pints and watch the football on Sundays so was always desperate for us to leave after wishing him a happy Father’s Day so he could get out.

He was quite happy to see us all after it for dinner just didn’t want to mess his Sunday routine!!

My Dad’s anniversary was yesterday so Father’s Day has been difficult for 14 years.

I’ll spend today with my Mum and kids. My Dad’s ashes were scattered in Callander as it was a favourite place of theirs so no cemetery to visit.

To those that have lost their Dad maybe visit their favourite place rather than the cemetery. Make it a happy day to remember.

It sure is. I consider myself to have been raised by my uncle, who was/is my hero. Not everyone is so lucky sadly. Some people should just get divorced, or never have children.
