What’s wrong with older guys

Why is it so hard to connect with ladies who would consider meeting up with guys 65 and over. In general we are experienced and usually quite good and considerate in bed but it seems that for some reason the ladies don’t want to know. A great shame and a missed opportunity I would say but then of course I would say that!

I sort of agree with bluebell, if you’re looking for feedback... well, be prepared for the Scottish forum... male or female you won’t be spared. What I will say is I need my mind to be sparked before anything else is (perhaps there’s a nerve goes from the brain to the clitoris ) I’ve always found a better sexual connection with younger men. If I was looking for a single guy I wouldn't automatically rule out meeting someone outwith my age preferences if I'd spoke to them on here or in the chat room. But nearly 20yrs older is like 20yrs younger for me though....too big a jump.

I agree with Doggy in a sense... I am older, very much so and although I have general preferences set out I’d always make exceptions for someone that sparked interest, isn’t that what it’s all about here... the spark?!?! It might just be me and I might be wrong (it had to happen one day ) but I think Fab is just like real life with some social restrictions removed, it’s social as well as sexual though it can be used however you wish... hang on in there OP I’m sure there are lots of ladies you’ll appeal too

I would also just like to put out there. Just because your older that does not automatically mean you appreciate a woman's body more and have more "experience".

It entirely depends on the person you will get older lads who don't give a fuck just as much as a younger one.

And as to experience. Practise only makes perfect if your practising it perfectly. Just because someone is 20 years or more older than someone else does not mean they as always necessarily better at something.

Feel your pain ! Very difficult to thought about lying but that so wrong ! Seems when you go 50 up written off as weak and grey haired but as you know not the truth , fitter than some of the younger ones are ! I don’t judge either with older ladies though as had a brilliant social meet with the lady and certainly does not look her age to so maybe look higher up the scale you never know may meet a beautiful lady ! Personally, I have found older men to be more clingy and oddly, more entitled. They have been in the “I bought you a drink so snog me” bracket. Not all, but most. I also haven’t fancied a lot of older guys.

I’ve met a few here and other sites where I’ve met for a coffee or drink and it’s been really pleasant but I’ve felt no spark.

The same as I’ve said above also has been the case with younger guys too.

The way I see it is folk are folk and regardless of age, no spark, no jiggy jiggy.

It's unlikely I'd be attracted to someone ages 65+. Unless they looked much younger. I'm not really in to the silver fox thing yet.

What is it with guys & their age?? It's all down to personal preference (of everyone) in the end. Much younger for me is too close to my kids age, & much older is closer to my parents age. I much prefer to meet people of a similar/closer age range. For those that complain, have a look at your profile. Old/non existent pics, lack of content, ranty/moany status updates & forum posts don't do anyone any favours.

This is how I feel Anyone over 65 is too near to being an uncle or dad figure, and anyone near my kids age makes me feel very uncomfortable .. Nothing wrong with older men if it's someone's preference, however likewise men have specific preferences if people didn't moan and complain then they would appear more attractive

As I've got older I've found my age preferences shrinking. I don't find twentysomething guys particularly attractive, although there are exceptions but usually no younger than 28. I also don't find men around my dad's age or older attractive. My ideal window at the moment is 30-45, although that will change the older i get. No more than 10 years older than me though

I view younger guys and gals like the gorgeous clothes I see in shop windows and think "aye... maybe if I was still 25, but I'd look like a clown in it at 44".

I’ve had long term relationships with older men predominantly and had a great time both sexually and otherwise, but for me it’s about intellectual connection first, and that’s my mind to be stimulated and then sexual attractiveness, some older guys do have way more stamina and experience than some younger guys but then I like to be in control a lot of the time and the younger guys are more adaptable to a woman being in control I’ve found. On paper you don’t have much going for you compared to a lot of the younger guys profiles so perhaps you ought to try socialising in the first instance or upgrade your profile

I am 65 but for some reason the site has never kept up with my proper age. I have tried to change it myself but the site does not allow me for some reason.

I totally get the comments about not wanting to jump into bed with a man who is like your dad and I am not looking for anyone anyway. I also get it regarding going with someone young enough to be my daughter.

I am also realistic enough to know that some much younger women would never consider older men and would be suspicious if they were to say otherwise. I was just being curious as to why absolutely no one, not in my limited experience anyway, ever looks at my age group.

I’ve seen quite a few older gents and ladies with very successful profiles... and if you’re not looking why do you say you are on your profile and why ask the question if your not bothered - not having a dig... just feel you’re not making sense but maybe I’ve picked the thread up wrongly.

I just did and noticed your pics are 8yrs old which is quite misleading as your body shape may have changed a great deal since 2011.

Bluebell, this is a really valid point too. It’s also not an older man thing either. I’ve met guys my age and younger but the pics haven’t been up to date and I’ve left meeting them feeling very deceived

When I was 25 I was in a relationship with a 47 year old and it was fun as he was younger in both looks and behaviour but as I’ve grown older my tastes have changed and I prefer younger than me. This was not always the case clearly but we all change.

At the end of the day, we should not have to justify our tastes as that’s just what we prefer. And while there will always be exceptions to the rule, it’s our bodies, our choice and our own rules. Male or female x

I think most people with a healthy appetite seek someone of a similar age to themselves. A huge age difference is in my opinion a sign of a deep rooted issue. Daddy didnt love them enough, he got no attention from girls at a younger stage in life.....

I accept this may sound offensive to many but its a genuine belief. My head may be turned by a lady in her early 20s but I wouldnt.

The OPs issue may be a lack of women of his age on here.

If you read your own post OP, along with the title... what’s WRONG with older guys, it sounds like your seeking reasons you can’t meet rather than just pondering the observation that older folk find it harder on site. No criticism there just trying to clear the confusion and negativity you seem to feel about some of the replies. I think RedRum has a point in saying there are less older people in general so the “pool” of similar age group is less and that’s using a good margin. That and men way outnumber women in any age bracket.
