It would be a whole lot better if people didn’t throw toys out the prank all time, if you’re not their type then block and then won’t make mistake of contacting them again, if you’re inundated with messages regardless of politeness you would be there for ages replying to everyone even if just to say thanks and there’s a limit on the number of messages per day you can send

I guess it depends on what you class as a compliment. If i said to a female, "hey yer tits are huge , just the type of tits that float my boat , actually big enough to float the titanic" then thats how i charm the knickers aff a wumin, but she may not like her big tits and take it as a negative.

Fab is unfortunately full of weirdos which is one of the reasons we deleted our last profile but came back to give it another go. My best advice is don’t take things personally on here. At the end of the day, everyone had their own agendas so just be aware of that, ignore the rude ones, they’ll never get far with that attitude anyway

An example would help with any constructive criticism OP. For example did you read and ignore what a profile asked for. As stated above how was your "compliment" worded. Also the site rules explain that women get many many messages so men in particular should take a no response as a polite no thanks. That's because when females reply with a polite no thanks they either get abuse or a stream of questions as to why they refused. Not saying women can't be horrid sometimes too but at the end of the day no one is entitled to anything here. Good luck on site though

Fab lacks manners and common courtesy unfortunately,

Some are plain rude if they do bother to reply, others go in a strop because you haven't bothered to read their 30 page story of a profile.

People expect you to read it, but if it was short simple and straight to the point you would but when you get rejected for no apparent reason and move onto the next and so on how many profiles are you expected to read

People on fab don't give you enough, how they can summarise you from one message without any response I just don't get.

Perhaps it's just the way you're wording it but if I was to reply to every single message then I'd need a secretary. That's even with my profile reading quite plainly to save folk wasting their time messaging at all. Again it sounds like you expect replies by virtue of the sites nature. Alas you don't no more than I do. I do agree there are rude on both sides though too. Alas all you can do is persevere or vote with your feet - good luck

The problem is that people come at this from different viewpoints.....

The decent guys know that ladies get loads of messages... so they read the profile first and spend time thinking about what to say. When they get no reply they cant help think... maybe they were busy and read it...or something else caught their eye at that point. As mentioned above sometimes it is a second message that gets a reply because it does show you arent just sending blanket messages to everyone.

Most guys just send blanket messages hoping for a response. Thus being part of the problem for the decent guys as the women get so many messages.

The d"ckheads are just rude and spoil it for everyone by annoying women.

On the flip side because ladies get so many messages and because of the d*ckheads they sometimes dont think about the fact a guy might have put some thought into making sure it was an individual message and be trying to make a real effort. Therefore they treat them like every other guy which may be to not reply or to block.

Personally, I would love it if there were woman who were able to reply (at least to say no thanks) to messages where the guy had made an efort....ignore most messages that are clearly just a copy paste.... and block guys as soon as they are rude. If you do reply and they start being rude...you can always block them then....

Would also love it if ladies didnt just rely on men messaging them and were more proactive in looking and sending the 1st message .... but hey..why should they... lol

Obviously all of the above is a massive generalisation and there are no clear boundaries so everyone sometimes needs to take a deep breath, dont take it too seriously and relax a little.

Very true.... although there is a very small % in the forums and they do tend to be the same people most of the time. Having said that i did recently receive a message from a lady who had read some of my posts in the forum so decided to message me. I nearly fell off my seat when i got it

I've had a few messages from the forum and messaged a few as well and had positive responses from both. The most common responses I get are, "I thought about messaging first but... I was too scared. or I'd have messaged first but most guys think if a woman messages first then theu are a sure thing.". Which I totally understand. Fab is fab if you make it fab yourself.

"Nobody owes anything" sick of that quote. Its not owed its common courtesy. Im not rude when someone mails me so why should anyone else. And if you read everything i had wrote it states yes i mail more than once and thats the only way i have gotten anywhere on here so sometimes persistence pays off.

Yes the ratio of males to females/ couples is overwhelming and a lot of the times that likely why you just get deleted and no response but i havent got any the veris i have unless i have persisted

Block guys from messaging you then and it saves having to block everyone.

Personally you've better chance of getting a reply from me if you keep messaging, I don't check my messages all the time so they can be missed

Yes the ratio of males to females/ couples is overwhelming and a lot of the times that likely why you just get deleted and no response but i havent got any the veris i have unless i have persisted

Glad you found what works for you but there’s no way women should be obliged to answer everything from a courtesy viewpoint. One - there’s far too many (we do have lives). Two - my profile couldn’t be clearer to say don’t mail yet I get mails everyday - who’s discourteous me for not replying or them for ignoring my profile utterly.

Block guys from messaging you then and it saves having to block everyone.

Personally you've better chance of getting a reply from me if you keep messaging, I don't check my messages all the time so they can be missed "

The other night something confirmed I’m right to not always reply.

I’d received a message so as usual, I had a peek at the profile and he really wasn’t my cup of tea. Rather than ignore I just sent a simple “thanks but no thank you”

The reply I got was “ah well you look like a fat old saggy c**t anyway”

This isn’t common I know, but so often you’ll get smart assed or downright rude replies just for turning them down.

This is why I normally just delete messages from those I’m not interested in

Folk just delete without paying attention, some that i have met have actually been ones I've mailed on more than one occasion to get a response, I've even met ones that have blocked me previously on another profile lol so it goes to show how much effort people put into reading and replying. You do not need to reply if you do not wish too i personally block men who msg me and i have no interest in them reason being ive had abuse because ive dared to say not for me! "Nobody owes anything" sick of that quote. Its not owed its common courtesy. Im not rude when someone mails me so why should anyone else. I could block guys but then I’d miss all those lovely messages I get from the nice ones. Oh yes there are many gents out there. Ones who perhaps I knew in a previous life or who wish to exchange views on forum posts etc. Just like real life there’s good and annoying things here, observing them, chatting about them and discussing viewpoints on them is part of it all. Hopefully all the different viewpoints enlighten

Unfortunately there is always one twat, but then you get it both ways too. Sometimes a headache on here and frustrates the hell out of u lol

Some are plain rude if they do bother to reply, others go in a strop because you haven't bothered to read their 30 page story of a profile.

People expect you to read it, but if it was short simple and straight to the point you would but when you get rejected for no apparent reason and move onto the next and so on how many profiles are you expected to read

People on fab don't give you enough, how they can summarise you from one message without any response I just don't get. "

For us personally, if you can't be bothered to read our profile, regardless of length, then we can't be bothered to reply to your message. Simple as that tbh.

As for OP - some women on here think they are god's gift because they outnumber men, when in real life you probably wouldn't even look twice at them.

For me personally (Mrs) I prefer messages that are either relating to a status, or something cheeky lol. Compliments on here from most don't always seem genuine, even when they may well be.
