Private parties can be a wee bit intimidating for a new cpls so I'd say try cjs or after 8 as there more relaxed with no pressure to take part.

Good luck

G (m) has been to a couple of parties a while back before meeting G (F). I found them easy and not intimidating. Both have never been to cj's yet. do you have to book cj's ?

Agree with oldy... we’ve found there tends to be an expectation to play at private parties, much prefer clubs as there’s no pressure

Hiring an apartment and being the host at least guarantees control over who is invited

7 verifications in a week are pretty good for newbies.

sounds a great idea. Do couple ever share hiring apartments ? I have no idea how much they cost.

Apartment costs can vary greatly. Some parties are invite only, whilst others post in the meets section.

Loads of serviced apartments in Glasgow and Edinburgh. And as they are generally for people working during the week, they are quite often cheaper at weekends too.

Central Borders

I've rented a flat on occasion for private parties. And yeah, I definitely ask everyone to chip in towards the cost. Usually 5-10 per person depending on cost of flat and how many people are expected. Only fair to split it between everyone who's coming. £5-10 each people would hardly miss it, instead of 1 person coughing up around £100 x
