Explain the attraction... it seems odd to me when there are plenty of reasonably priced hotels if don’t want to do at home..

Whilst outdoor fun is good at times, I couldn't go dogging. I'd be worried some smelly guys turned up..

Only been to a dogging spot once and it was pretty grim to be honest, and cold and really busy with god knows who and the constant worry that the constabulary would pay a visit. Oh, and absolutely nothing happened except a lot of people sitting in cars in a car park.

It's most likely the convenience of it. Drive up. Have some fun and titillation then drive home. No expense of a hotel
