Anyone watching the prog? Or listening to the podcast?

I vaguely remember it happening, so maybe that's why I'm so hooked!

I watched a documentary a little while back, think it’s still radioactive and they’ve built a shelter round it, sad program

The new Sky drama has been really good. It's accurate enough and it's clearly borrowed from earlier documentaries and docu-dramas.

Where it really scores is in conveying the human element. It really makes you feel the fear, the horror, the anger at the stupidity ... all that.

And - for me, anyway - in a way that I just didn't feel it at the time; even though I understood what a disaster it was.

East Ayrshire

There are some really nice photos of the abandoned Chernobyl theme park. They are sad, and a give a glimpse of what it might have been like if the cold war had gone horribly wrong.

It's horrible to think that a stupid mistake or the action of some TRUMPed up lunatic could do that or much, much worse. Hopefully the powers that be learn by such things.

We are planning a 4 day visit in the summer. There are tours you can go on to explore surrounding areas. Hope we don’t come home glowing

I’ve been enjoying this show. Would love a visit. I heard that some of the radiation found it’s way over to parts of Scotland.

Using drone technology, the British band Suede set the video to a recent single at Pripyat, the nearby town that was abandoned after the Chernobyl disaster. It's a fascinating video seeing the trees and nature forcing their way back through amongst the derelict buildings and fairground.

Probably less chance of contracting anything radioactive there than some of the Scottish ones you hear about!

The radiation may even have you grow an extra cock. Which let’s face it, would come in pretty handy.
