I would like to go after 8, can anyone tell me what it’s really like please x

I have been to both Cjs is much bigger and lots more to do but after 8 is good also abit smaller but slot of genuine people attend it both have there own crowd if that makes sense x

Both very similar tbh but to me cjs is like a house party in a large townhouse and after8 in a small terraced house, I prefer cjs as I get very claustrophobic and there’s a lot more space and areas to socialise I don’t go to play. If you’re into smaller cosier environments then after8 might be less intimidating but it’s all perspective at the end of the day. To me smaller spaces with strangers send my anxiety through roof x the only way you’ll find out is to give it a go, pringles goes to both venues fairly often and she’s fairly approachable and really easy to get in with I’m sure she will be along to comment at some point or wouldn’t mind a pm asking for advice

my partner and I are going to after 8 on Saturday.Its lingerie night which is probably the best night to go along.If you are there say hi and I'm sure everyone will make you comfortable.

Everyone’s views are different.

The only way to really know what it’s like is to get yourself along.

Both venues are friendly and welcoming so even if your first time is purely social you’ll get a good idea of how things work.

Having attended both clubs CJs was the best TBH go with no expectations. Found mostly friendly with a selected few who have their own little groups. Which is fine you get that anywhere you go.

I've tried both and CJ's is my fave, but what After 8's has done with the space they have is great.

I'll admit I've only been to A8 once, but plan to go again soon, and from my experience with CJ's, I know it will be a totally different night, as the people that go also affect your experience and what you take away from your visit.

It's the folk that make the surroundings if you can have a great laugh that's the best way x

Like any club you will find people from all walks of life and not everyone that attends them will be single but most people wouldn't broadcast it either way

Cjs is a lot bigger than after 8 I have been to both there is a lot of friends who meet there most weeks who do swing. I think after 8 is easier to get chatting with people
