Wasn't as bad as I'd feared. A bit arty-farty for the sake of prolonging things and a couple of opportunities missed; but many genuinely cool moments and an acceptable solution.

Meanwhile, in King's Landing ... LOL

So stressed watching it! Did anyone else think it was really dark? I don't just mean the subject matter

Maybe it was just my telly

Yea was very dark but guess that's cause its was to save costs on cgi . Even the dialogue was a min. I really liked it . Can't wait to see how it unfolds now x

It was dark but think that was supposed to be because it’s winter and it makes sense a Night King might attack then. Also allows all those dark fears to be explored... thought it did well and borrowed a lot from big screen movies in that sense. The Dothraki battle avoided (would’ve cost a fortune) but how dramatic and eerie to see that bold line of fire twinkle out... I liked it all

Gotcha. That makes sense. That scene was spine-tingling!

Your right and theres a wee hint in the world of fire and ice, history of Westeros book too. That got me thinking Jamie would be the one.

He’s very disillusioned with her to say the least and of course has Bron enlisted to kill him and Tyrion... really hope he’s not THAT much of a sell sword

Long episode think it was a bit drawn out but still a good 1 all the same.

I watched it in the dark as it was pretty dark so didn't want any reflections lol

I think his delusion with her is gone now though. Bron is only loyal to himself and his pocket so I can see him trying to kill them

Totally geeked out and happy. BUT the Dothraki cavalry charge pissed me off. Never (except once in history and that ended badly) do you start a battle with a head on cavalry charge. Duh. Flanks.

Dramatic yes. Sucidial yes. I need to be in charge quite frankly.

Kinda weird the entire premise is “winter is coming” and they’ve ended ghat before all the political fighting.

Also Bran wtf was he doing with his seer powers.

Well that's because the political fighting has nothing to do with the night king and winter coming. Two different story lines in the same show

Yea but the whole deal with Ned and the starks is that the political fighting won’t matter when winter comes. Fact they just subverted the entire white walker story makes me think something weirder will happen. Maybe re appear. Still have a massive army.

Just incredible viewing. My nerves were chittering all the way through.

Interesting fire never killed the Knight King. Targaryen?

Made by the children of the forest with dragon glass. Was meant to be the only way to beat him and was meant to be killed by azore ahai. Bringer of light or something, one the red priests worship.

Been awhile since I read the books but I think the children of the forest might do something. Knight king was just a spell to kill people.

Have to say that i was disappointed in the episode. It promised so much more.

It jumped about far too much and it dragged on.

First episode i have gone and made a coffee without hitting the pause button
