Considering you didn't have a choice in your name at birth, would you change your name by deed poll? If so why?

I changed my surname through marriage but would have changed it given the chance to be disassociated with my father

I like my name.. Wouldn't change... Except maybe to Jeffrey Dean Morgan or George Clooney. I could get a credit card in their names and go on a spree..

It would be a lot cheaper to change your name than to get a private number plate so yeah.

You can change your name for free - companies will print a deed poll but you can print it yourself if you have the template.

I changed my name a while ago to add a middle name but I don't think I'd change anything else.

I would possibly change the spelling of my name. I like being different, but having to correct people before they spell it wrong all the time is a pain in the arse.

My mum has a lot to answer for.

You don't need a deed poll in Scotland, its an English thing. Here you can just decide to use a different name as long as its not

for illegal purposes.

I like my name plus if we all started doing it it would be like fab chat where everyone changes usernames and no one knows who anyone is!

I changed mine because mine was the girls spelling. And I got tired of mail addressed to miss ms or mrs. Parents should really think before naming their kids. Nae wonder they let me pick my sisters name
