Procrastinating

I am a superb procrastinator. I leave uni work to the very last minute. I’d like to be more organised but I just can’t get it together.

I’m blaming my lack of work ethic on the kids being off school at the minute!

How organised are you?

Do you leave things to the last minute? And do you really think us procrastinators can break the ‘i’ll do it later’ cycle?

I think you are who you are and there is generally nothing you can do that will alter your inner defined traits !

Some people work way better when there is a deadline, I am one of those. I am also not a particularly good finisher of projects, in my work I am generally involved in the definition and the breaking of the back of jobs and then leave the finite detail such as quality to the meticulous pickers, before setting off rampaging through the next “problem” ! Each to their own I say !

I should add that at times I can modify my behaviour and do the real focus stuff, but it is not natural and it takes real effort, so it does not happen often !

I am a champion procrastinator!!

Had an extension last week for an essay for uni - did it more or less in 1 day so why didn’t I just do it the week before. I always say it takes me ages to write an essay but it doesn’t if I exclude my procrastination!!

Anyway only 5 months left and I will be finished (hopefully)

Life’s too short. If it’s nice I’d rather be outside. The housework can wait. Shops are open 24 hours so there’s no rush to go shopping either.

Something needs done I do it.

Or

I’ll add it to my ‘to do’ list.

I have lists for everything.

Yeah, I know..... I’m sad

Omg Mr is a procrastinator of the highest order and I am a right here right now kinda gal. Complete opposites but somehow it works very well and we are managing to survive without killing each other although he would probably say he would have to think about that and get back to you

I'm quite organised in general. Although over the last few years I've left Xmas shopping quite late but last year I had it all done 2 months prior. In general I make lists, shopping etc and if I remember something or anything it goes on the calendar x

If only I had the luxury of having one of "those" lists..

Am the same. I've got coursework n class test in uni for Monday and I just can't find motivation to do it. I seem to find time to do everything else that doesn't need doing lol. Roll on summer holidays x

Personally I don't even plan as far ahead as 'i'll do it later' if something is urgent then it gets done.. if it's not urgent it may get done. Live for the moment. Carpe Diem

Google this, it's great

Tim Urban: Inside the mind of a master procrastinator

I like everything well organised and riding that chaos like a bucking bronco.

Procrastination allows me to let my mind focus on other things whilst I let my creativity flow. I'm lucky in that I'm flexible time wise mostly. Deadlines flood in like tsnamis too....it's the thrill of riding that frenetic crest till completion. The best ideas come when pushed to the limit in my experience. The only thing to juggle is the time it takes.

I had a work meeting cancelled this afternoon and instead of going back and catching up on paper work I sat somewhere with a view of the lake. Now I can't be arsed going back to the office. So yip.. The king of procrastination here today. (me in the car with shades.)
