Hi all! Visiting Edinburgh on April 1-3rd and looking to spend the evenings exploring the city a bit. Looking for nice lunch/dinner places and good bars for the evening. Any tips? X

There are a selection of decent restaurants clustered around the south side of st Andrew's square catering for most tastes,theres the whitchery by the castle that is a nice spot for evening

George street has more upmarket bars whereas the grassmarket is more olde worlde rough and ready pubs,the cowgate has bannermans stramash whistle binkys good music venues

If you like Thai then Chaophraya on George street is fantastic, was there last night. Only 10 min walk from Waverley

Yep Waverly is below the high street and George street...effectively right in the middle.
