ok you have all read them - the profiles that are so long its like reading war and peace and so you just skip to the photos at the bottom of the page if there is any.

would it not be good for those folk to have an edited version at the top for the lookers and the full version below that for the folk that actually take an interest before they get to the photos

just a thought.

I think that if you are going to message someone for a potential meet the least anyone can do is read all of their profile. After all, thats what it's there for and you can usually get a good idea if you'll get on with someone from what they write in a profile.

And i reckon you can Always tell from a message if they have read everything.

i agree if you are going to meet with some one then read ALL the profile (gives you some thing to talk about ) but an edited version would some times be nice to get an over view then just perv at the pics lol

People are always speaking about being police and well mannered on the forums so in my view, if someone has taken the time to create a full profile with their preferences, needs and a bit about themselves then it's only polite to at least read it.

And that is why I moved all my pictures to my private gallery

Actually, we're a little suspicious of short profiles...

Don't they know what they want?

Can't they string two words together?

(a massive turn-off for both of us)

Are they trying to hide something?

Every experienced swinger has some basic ground rules or at least likes/dislikes. In fact you discover a real need for them (usually the hard way! lol) as you go along. Something we're all guilty of in life inside & outside of swinging, is gauging people by first impressions.... & your profile is your chance to create a good first impression!............ Well that's my tuppence worth-- If you can be bothered to read it?! lol

know what they want - thats the interests bit

some folk can talk better than they can type and personally i hate typing i would rather just talk to a person for real in person or over the phone

show me a person who does not hide things and ill show you a lier, every one has there personal secrets

and as for rules - thats what drinks are for to find out what you do and dont like

as a single guy who lives alone and is answerable to no-one ... I have absolutely nothing to hide.. nor do I.

the only reason I dont flash my face on here is due to someone from here , who watched a cam show from my house and went into local post office and told em, ..... 'ffs you should have seen the cam show I say from that guy who lives at the top of *****, 9 guys and 3 females'.

I have nothing to hide, it's just some folks can't keep their fecking traps shut ......

I go for the happy medium in terms of trusting folks word/profiles, if enough info, cool, if too short,as mentioned,it sets alarm bells ringing, too long and not so much alarm bells ringing, you wonder why they want folks to lose the will to live before messaging, lol.

And good old, "read between the lines" got to have that skill when reading profiles, the "you must, must oh and you also must" and if you must" god, are they going to be like that in person too?

interesting one this - we used to have a fairly long profile, but got tired or reading profiles that had loads of lists of things they wouldn't do.

So we decided to be a wee bit more "enigmatic" on ours - the "interests" bit and "looking for" bit pretty much covers what we will and won't do - the profile bit, on ours anyway, is just to make people smile

In saying that, maybe that's why we hardly ever get any mail? lol

The profiles that say 'If you get as far as this and wish to contact me put ????? in the heading title'.....

Do they feel important or something

Have to admit to having this, and no it doesn't make us feel important?

We initially added it to our profile because it became really annoying when people clearly didn't read our profile. An we thought it might be a good way to let people stand out that have read it all. We have, however, come to realise that it makes not a bit of difference as we have even had single males using it when contacting us - I think it's written very clearly that they're not what we're looking for.

Anyway, to answer your question... What was your point? lol
