I've joined the masses c/o bookface and doing the 28 day waist shrinking planking challenge. Day 4 now and its definitely having an effect on various muscles. Anyone else doing this and want to share their progress here?

"Can u explain what it is and how it works."

Basically you do a plank every day for 28 days increasing your time by 5-10 seconds each day. You measure your waist at the start and finish. Its not a weight loss tool, just a way of toning up your core muscles

Have pm you with the link

Its an old fitness plan about ten yrs ago I did a similar plan you start with 20 pushups situps burpees starjumps squats and lunges then add one a day it definatly works if you stick to it.

Think I'll stick with the planking for now. I do the rest at my circuits class and once a week is enough of them for me

Stretch your body flat out with your palms flat to the floor and your toes pointing towards the ground and try lifting your body equally by only pressing on your palms and toes , 3 aday very good core excersie .

Op keep up the good work as you will reap the benefits off getting s flatter tummy

Gym Cameron toll was rammed yesterday. It’ll get back to normal by the end of January when the resolutions ware off and the takeaway menus start popping through letterboxes at the rate of 4 a day

For those who intend to give it a proper go put a photo of yourself on the fridge as the motivation

Ooh Parkrun is good I'm just looking forward to the kids being back at school for the extra walking to and from. Plus, there's a glorious one day and one half day a week where I only have the tiny one and can walk for miles with the buggy might even use the jogging buggy for actual jogging

It is hard but if you stick at it and try not to add too much each day (recommended increase is 5-10 seconds) then it's doable
