"Waxing, done properly, isn't that bad and definitely gets less painful as you keep it up. The hair is softer as it grows back in too and you tend to have less regrowth over time. A cheap/bargain waxer is not a good thing. It's a you get what you pay for kind of thing. Epilation is mild torture. I've done it on my arms and legs before but couldn't venture to bikini line! Hate shaving. I'm the worst woman. Can't do it without cutting myself then that hurts more than a wax Sign me up for a full leg and Hollywood any day! V x" Aw thank you - I may have to give the salon a wee call today. X

Oh no - may have to rethink lololol" You shouldn't with waxing but the paracetamol can make it more likely with anything. Just thinking on blood tests when I've been taking it for a headache or cold and ended up very badly bruised as a result V x

"I epilate & have done for years (legs about 28 & full Brazilian for around 6). Whilst the result is pretty amazing, be under no illusion it's bloody agony the first few times! . It took me over 3 days to fully wax as it was so painful, & I was scarlett! I even tried using numbing cream but that didn't help. For me it's the ease of doing it myself as I don't have time to go to a salon regularly, & it also lasts a fair time. Occasionally prone to proving it too x R " OUCH!!!!!

"Wax, definitely wax. Been regularly waxed for the last 3 - 4 years. Take 2 ibuprophen about an hour beforehand, then 2 paracetamol 30mins before. Post wax, tea tree based shampoos and body lotions help. J" Thank you x

"I enjoy a smooth finish but hate having to use a razor so often but can’t bear the thought of painful hair removal. Read a few bizarre ‘recipes’ online of pastes that you mix up yourself but can’t think how they would work and too cowardly to try without hearing from a real person that they work lol Any tips/advice ladies for our tender areas? Very low pain threshold lol " I’ll stixk to shaving skin too sensitive to attempt to is anything else as tried waxing my legs and took skin off was advised off girl never to try again my skin was the problem, even lost skin off my eyebrows a cpl times so just went back to tweezers

"Non strip (hard) wax is best for bikini area. Not as sore as strip wax which is usually used for larger areas like legs etc. My skin is quite sensitive and the hard wax is perfect for me. More expensive but definitely worth it if your pain threshold isn’t high. " Do you get this done at a salon? X

The owner Debbie still provides a waxing service from other premises near by. Not sure if that’s near you or not. But if you go on Treatwell etc then check that they use hard wax most say it in the descriptor.
