What on average would you say is a sufficient amount of time to chat before asking for a social

I would say for me personally a week or two at the most. Any longer and I would think all the guy wanted was just to chat and not meet at all x

Not into endless messaging myself tbh. A day or 2 of exchanges to be sure you think and want the same, then arrange a social. An hour in someones company over coffee is worth a 100 messages back and forth.

Honestly... How long is a piece of string. It depends on the person and how you feel the chat is going.. I've blown it by asking too quickly, I've blown it by waiting too long... Or maybe I'm deluded or naieve.. Who knows... I say if you feel it is the right time.. Go for it.. And good luck... (Btw..I'll say yes )

Depends on the chat and how frequently you're exchanging messages but I would think it wouldn't take too long before someone mentions meeting face to face. A week maybe. I'd think we'd have a feel for someone by then if they're messaging regularly and conversation is flowing

I don't think you can be definitive with any time to even consider asking to meet socially.

Some people you connect more with on chatting so might arrange sooner than you would normally or expect.

Also depends on your experiences on meeting, if a lot of timewasters and cancelled meets then you take your time more before committing yourself

Why put a deadline on it? Lots of factors, distance, work, life, all sorts of things might come into play.
