I believe I always put in a valid, constructive point on every post and which is a good challenge for a debate, even if there's a post staying "what percentage of a bend does your cock have"

I feel like you've found my game!

I tend to skip the ones that have nothing to do with me like 'looking for male opinions' or people going to certain events etc. Depends how bored/curious I am if I read those or not.

Quite often I'll read through a thread and decide not to comment as my first reaction would be to be a total bitch or because the thread has went off tangeant and I don't want to touch it.

W works in the evenings though and I'm starved of adult conversation so most will know I'll comment on most things if I'm on

I will try and stick to the point of the thread but often I will, like V , comment on something someone has said rather than the point.. But I feel that's one of the joys of the thread.. It's like a conversation and can go off on tangents or points the OP hadn't thought of and then it comes back.. I really don't mind if a thread I start wanders more than Mr Magoo on lsd.. As long as it stays civil at least or fun at best it's all good.

If the subject is something that I'm not interested in I won't read the thread never mind comment on it, or if there is a thread running and someone has already posted what my thoughts are then chances are I won't add to that either as I have nothing different to say.

All I can say is you must've been really really bored even to try this, but once setting yourself that challenge I think you should have completed it.

What a strange outcome on this thread . Im gobsmacked at the pish on here. Threads go off on tangents all the time , so feckin what , its a typed conversation among many people. Some people might want to explore a post in a bit more detail, so feckin what. Its not the end of the world. Then we have the forum police coming in saying its the same people, maybe so but you just became one of those same people. FACT !!!

Then its the same people only 1 actually who takes it up a notch calling people tools , in other words prompting arguments FACT !!!

the threads have been very enjoyable lately , shame the quote " same people" i prefer " same person" ramps it up to abuse . Feck me to save quoting anyone, everyone should read back this thread and see where it goes wrong . Fuck me its not rocket science folks.

And breath . Rant over. Appologies OP sometimes things need said.

We all go off on tangents but if we get back on track then its good but, and I say but loosely, posts take a route of their own, sometimes personal conversations ensue on it and then in the middle someone comes back on point.

Sometimes people who dislike others, try and jump in whether knowingly or unknowing taking the post off its point. Certain people actually think they are beyond admin and openly say they like fights, starting arguments or making them worse and posts going off topic, It happens.

If its a post someone feels strongly about then I'm sure it will be brought back or through another post in the future

One thing on this if we have dislikes for certain people on posts we should just try and stay clear or if we want to comment, take a deep breath, make sure we are being honest about the posts true point instead of obscuring it by our dislike of certain ones.

I have people on the forum who just try and make some of the posts I contribute to go off on, shall we say a tangent, even if its an interesting post that many add to But I aint the only one, even the ones who do this get hassle by others. Its up to each individual how they deal with it.

What you will find is that interesting posts that a lot of people have an opinion on will always get back to its point.

i check forums every day - and if i think i have something to add i will do - i dont get antagonistic i hope as everyone is entitled to their opinions whether i agree with them or not - and the whole point of forums should be a free and easy exchange of opinions and ideas - of late there seems to have been a few trolls, hyper sensitives, ignorant - etc etc call it what you will - that will prolly get me abuse right there :p but i have seen some posts recently i wished to comment on but figured some wouldnt like my opinion so i didnt comment - not here to fall out with anyone - happy to debate however - horsey and the op for example i know and im sure we differ on a few things but we are mature enough to discuss em without turning to abuse

I totally agree with you especially your last paragraph but calling people fucking arses and tools on a thread where nobody has tried to take it in another direction to me is asking for a response hence starting trouble. You then got your response then said something about them commenting . Let it go , you dig others up for doing exactly what you did in this thread. Casting things up and throwing insults and dare i say it, derailing threads.

Theres nothing wrong with having a difference of opinion. For me I have had opinions and they have actually been changed by other peoples views.

In order for my views to change or their views to change we have to understand what the other person has those views and thus understanding this makes it easier to either cement you views or break your own view down.

Personally the only problems I've had is when people make direct comments to me, sometimes I let it slide, sometimes I don't. Other people do the same.

I don't remember us two having a strumash, I remember us having different opinions about different things and nothing wrong with that, it's actually healthy, if we all thought the same, fuck me life would be boring.

Difference of opinion is always healthy and during these debates if the point is still the main part of the post chat then it cant go wrong

pmsl all you ever do is comment about how I'm this and how I'm that.

gonna just forget about me, don't have me in your thoughts, don't talk to anyone about me, don't message anyone about me and you will feel better about yourself, trust me you really will. I feel great about myself and don't think about anyone's comments that are directed to me once I come off the forums

I have not made a comment about you on this thread at all until you made comment about me

just chill, look at the posts and what the OP is actually asking and work on that, simples

right the OP said about posts going off tangent.

if they are important and interesting then they will eventually get back on topic

"Out of pure boredom i told myself, try commenting on every post on first page of Scots forums.

Thinking of a valid point, opion, i conclude it cant be done, what kind of subject has you concluding, i cant/dont want to add to that?"

The only thing that stops me responding is if my reply would be completely negative or nasty. The beauty of forums, unlike real life convos and situations, is that you can and should take a moment to reflect before responding. Or you can just wade straight in with verbal diahorrea and look like a complete roaster.

Don't do it in capitals, it looks like your trying too hard, make it under case as if its a nonchalant reply

I’m like V. If a post is interesting I’ll comment but I’ve often deleted my response before even posting it as my opinions can be a bit blunt at times.

Some posts have made for interesting private conversations.

If iv got a opinion il post it.

Whether folk like it or not I couldn't give a shit

It's an OPEN forum not a 1 man everyone better like me and agree with me forum.

Imagine your sat in a pub with your mates (If you actually have any real 1s that is ) someone starts a conversation on say...brexit.

How long will that conversation stay on brexit? Il tell you about 5 mins total then folk will be chatting about Mays walk or Boris hair or how the French president looks a tad sexy?

Most conversations go off on different directions all the time so what?

It's not killing anyone is a post on a dodgy sex site ffs.

Name calling when you loose an argument or just to be nasty or trying to kid on your clever when your actually a fekn loon that's just out in the open for everyone to see.

So don't do it.it ain't big and it ain't clever.

Have a great day folks

X

If I see a thread that has actually stayed on topic and is still going good then I'll comment. If not and it's been derailed then I scroll on by. I don't go out of my way to comment on everything though, only the fun threads that stay fun, even though they are few and far between x
