Prefer to be contacted or not?

I was curious about this, since I occasionally contact those that I am curious to chat with, but don't always get responses. I was wondering, do you females generally prefer to do the contacting yourself or receiving messages from interested men? You must get hundreds of messages, and I am willing to be patient instead of messaging peeps

Maybe try saying "The ladies of Fab", instead of "You women". It's less dehumanising.

Very rarely do I make contact 1st.

Weird as it sounds I'm not on here actively looking for a meet but if it happens great! If not I get a giggle at folk on the forums lol

I get winks from women,think that's the q for me to send a message,think it's more for a nosey out of curiosity.I could be wrong.but don't think I am.

i do send a message if i see someones profile and I like the look of them and their pics but majority are sent by men..either winks or messages showing some kind of interest

I'll message someone if I'm interested, curious about somethiing they've said or they've made me laugh. Worst that can happen is they block you mid conversation.

Nah.. Sometimes the word that can happen is they reply. And then you can't get rid.

As a guy, here's a cracker, I prefer to be contacted by the female or couple if I interest them. Not saying that's always the case but I personally prefer it that way. Does it make me lose out on meets and fun, hell yeah but that's just me

If someone really catches my attention, I wink or message. I don't reply to most of my mail. Sometimes I will get a hysterically funny message that I have to reply to, but they are rare, so I usually contact people myself .

I very rarely make first contact. If I receive a message I look at profile first and then maybe read message. I used to reply to every message even if it was a no thanks but now I don’t. If it’s a well written message but I don’t want to chat I’ll politely say no thanks. If the message/profile has something interesting about it I’ll comtinue the conversation.

Having recieved daft random unwanted 3 or 4 word messages from guys over the past few weeks that dont even offer up an answer to or relate to a crumb of info on my profile.

I now see why couples and women put filters and readily delete majority of messages, it was my instinctive reaction too, delete delete.
