Good old John lewis have done it again with their thought provoking advert.

So whats you favourite Christmas advert this year ?

No though that all it's just a promo for the film that he has coming out?

Usually they have stuff to sell with the advert like toys and jammies but all that's in it is a piano?

Every little boys dream aye...righto lol

So not worth the money he got paid!

Dont like it either im afraid. Christmas is a time for kids to be kids and having fun, now the adults are having the fun dragged out of it too as now they need to get gifts that might impact the childs future. Get them a super soaker and let them have fun. The thought police might then say thats teaching them violence . Where will it end .

To the man on the street it is but this advert seems to be spoke about every year and some folk actually look forward to it so the bosses at John Lewis probably believe it's money well spent

The firm said reports Sir Elton had been paid £5m were "wildly inaccurate" and said some of his fee went to his charitable trust.

HSBC have $18bn invested in palm oil industry

Ps Iceland are stating they have removed palm oil from all "Iceland" branded products, but just launched Marmite sprouts (which is just wrong ) Marmite contains palm oil, and Unilever who make it wont say if it comes from sustainable sources or if its dirty palm oil, which has always been the target of the video since Greenpeace launched it.

Christmas ads don’t change my shopping habits. It’s all a waste of money. Obscene amounts of money spent on advertising for one day of the year. A colleague suggested the money would be better spent on the homeless! Have to say I agree with her.

I agree about the Sainsburys' Christmas Truce ad, very poignant then, and would have been again this year.

I saw this years Sainsburys ad last night, and while it's nice, it does make me want to shop there any more than I already do.

As for John Lewis, I despise that preening queen, and it says nothing to me about what Christmas means.

Thank god for the ability to skip through the ads. Apart from the Simply Be ones.
