time for a rant..

we were on the bus with an asshole driver who clearly is incapable of breaking normally. nearly sent our little girl through the window, caused an old man to hit his face against the wall and an elderly lady was sent flying into a newborn baby's pram!! iv banged my hand too

thankfully Gordie had a good hold of our chick, but he ended up losing it totally with the driver.

mr driver, if you read this your an asshole!!!

grrr ! , anyone else got public transport gripes? xx

Often a domino effect, was the cause for the sudden stop maybe yet another ass hole in front of bus, drivers have a thing called "duty of care" if he did it by his own bad driving, yup i'd be pissed at him too.

Loads of daft wee gripes, why do folk unclip belt and stand up on a plane before doors open, Do Edinburgh Taxi drivers quite litteraly own edinburgh roads?

Two cars that were going along the road perfectly ok, untill see police speed van-camera and crash into each other by the distraction, yet its called a "safety camera"??

nope, was caused by the driver just looking at the traffic light go green and not looking if the traffic infront of him was moving, which is why my mr went beserkers.

quick acceleration followed by a hard brake = everyone in the bus flying into what was infront of them. thank god he had our wee girl, if i had her she would have smacked into the window for sure

sorry to hear about your difficult journey.

But god bless them.. the job must be a tough one as the general public are a nightmare to serve.. d*unks on the bus, yobs on the bus, and do try and drive a bus and keeping your eye on the nonsense that goes on to annoy other passengers.Trying to keep to a schedule or the first words out of the mouth of the passengers waiting at the bus stop ''' your fecking late'''bingo starts in 10 mins lol

agree some folks serving the public, shouldn't ..

it's a job I couldna do..

actually going for a lie doon, am stressed just thinking about it lol..

P&G...you do realise that an incident like that on a bus is classed legally as a reportable Road Traffic Accident under the road traffic act. This is because its a PSV vehicle.

The bus driver concerned should of taken details from you and reported this incident in to his superiors and then to the police.

If anyone fell over etc even without any obvious immediate injury it should if I remember rightly be reported just in case a future injury occured.

i hate when the bus drivers just pull out from the stops even when your half way up the side of the bus and cant bloody go any where.

and the domino effect happens on the M74 everyday as theres stead lines where temp camera used to be drivers are speading and then hit the lines and jump on there brakes pmsl.camrea has been away 4 years now oh and the ambulance that sits on the bridge over the M74 at the windmills just by larkhall the drivers see the strips and on come the brakes and the quick lane change.dont they know that the camera in the cop vans pics then up about 1/2 a mile away and they would be bloody done by the time they seen it lol

12points on my licence, out on my arse for 6 months with no job, if theres the slightest risk its a camera, better believe the brakes are going on,one day that ambulance wont be an ambulance i bet.

theres no way onto the motorway from where they sit so it will always be an ambulance. the unmarked car sits at the bridge further south at lesmahagow truck stop and gets everyone coming down the long steep brae by the time they see the car its 2 late.

Mr me.

clydebank

my 2ps worth here just had a recent incident with buses daughters car was pushed into the pavement by a bus after he hit her coming off a roundabout and he drove on never stopped wittnesses got the reg of the bus for her but hey to the drivers defence sometimes they dont know they have hit anyone as the bus is so big they dont feel the impact but worse thing is now car is a rite off.

Think bus companys should be more vigilant examining licences when employing new drivers if its not a full UK one as they are still saying they are tracking down the driver that nite who knows whats nexted.

from a pissed off bren lol xxx

You have to remember buses have the right of way when pulling away from bus stops.

Taxis and buses have the right of way when using a bus and taxi lane, if a car wants to turn left across the bus lane it has to give way to the bus and taxi.

Unfortunatly some bus drivers think that placing their indicator on for 1 blink gives them the right to pull out regardless of whats behind them. This isnt the case, the following vehicles should give way to the bus once its indicating, but only if safe to do so. I will always give way to busses unless im the last or only vehicle to be passing it, pointless me stopping to let a bus out when he could wait for another 2 seconds and go to an empty road!

Have the highest respect for bus drivers, as well as been harrassed from drivers they can be harrassed from passangers too, would hate the job to be honest!

An apt thread to mention tommorow, theres a brief chance to see the worlds biggest passenger plane do a "touch n go" fly by at edinburgh airport, Airbus A380, scheduled for 1.40pm

T

Not 100%, think it may be landing at prestwick a while too

But it was priceless seeing the face of the wee boy bored waiting to see the big plane with his dad, saying "it canny be that big dad" and out of the clouds came this massive bird and as it flew overhead it near blocked daylight like an eclipse, his face was a picture, very like when elliot first finds E.T, lol
