Peer Pressure

Something to debate about that hopefully will be interesting.

Have you or do you suffer from peer pressure ? and to make it more in-depth, do you think social media plays a big part with peer pressure and how our kids, or the youths of today cope with it ?

I'd say I consider myself self assured enough to not really be affected or influenced too much due to peer pressure.

I do however really worry about the effects of it on young people, particularly young women in terms of how they look

I don’t suffer from it as I e always done my own thing.

However, I do worry about teenagers...ALOT. But that being said, I do have some great kids who have their heads screwed on and hate drugs and smoking. The eldest does drink but not very often and not to excess. Yet.

Their mates have come to me in the past and asked questions as they’ve not always been able to ask their own parents. Luckily they know that my ex and I are always happy to listen and talk to them as adults.

I'm a grown-up. Peer pressure hasn't affected me for over 30 years!

My daughter in 1st year at high school tells me daily if the girls all coming out as Gay or Bi.. they are all doing it !! Seemingly just to fit in...So just shows u ..something that 20 years ago would have had u ridiculed as a teenager us now fashionable ...not in a good sense either ...one girl evem printed off leaflets to tell everyone she was gay ...it's not a problem to me but they are all about 11 ....but seem to be doing it to fit in
