Does it bother you when you discover an absolute belter of a pic on here is fake? Was just about to fab it and curiosity for the better of me so I did a wee Google search. Too good to be true right enough...

At least you know the wee guy with the photie in the bog, y fronts at his ankles and brown trout floating in the lavvie behind him, is real!

Save the image you want to search, then open a google tab. Click on "images" at the top right of screen, and in the search bar, click on the camera icon.

Select "upload an image", and load the one you saved. If it is used anywhere else on the web publicly, you should see it, or similar images.

How do you do reverse image search?

The ones I find baffling are what appear to be genuine profiles with lots of verifications who have some fake pics mixed in with their own genuine ones. It's bizarre.

also depends on your phone. I've got a Sony xz2 and I can keep my finger on the pic and it gives me the option to search Google for it without saving it and going through all the rigmarole. The missus has an iPhone and doesn't have that option so give that a try first.

If your missus uses Chrome on her iPhone instead of the default browser, she will get the option to press and hold an image to search for it.
