This may generate a few giggles,

Late 70s I was 16 ,( nae sniggers ) got kitted out with a lime green pair of 4 button high waister flares that covered the 4” platforms completely ? On way to the school Easter disco we decided to fun as it started raining, right foot caught in left flare , tumbled arse over tits , tore the trousers to bits , throat hit a little wall , dislocated two pinkies and burst ma lips!!! Never wore flares and platforms again

true ! The arse was out of everyone’s drawers , only designer gear was the guy who’s ma had a knitting machine and they designs were just plain embarrassing

I was the youngest of 6 , you can’t imagine, I even had a pair of denim shaded down......from my sister . .....praying nobody would notice the fly on the opposite side ......no wonder am a kinkster , mentally scarred by idiot dirt poor parents
