Anyone help with a choice of hotel for weekend 27 October 18

We are down in Cumbria for the day but wouldnt mind adding an overnighter in Carlisle of Dumfries area - anyone there next weekend or got suggestions where to stay over.

Dumfries has a couple nice hotels. The Station Hotel and The Cairndale are two that stand out. There are a couple others that are reportedly quite nice. And then you have your factory standard Premier Inn but that's quite far out of the town centre,the others are very centred.

to this plus the Caledonian is nice. Enjoy your weekend wherever you stay...

The crown hotel in Wetheral is nice, has sauna pool etc and great food, just off J43 at Carlisle
