An interesting observation on this. Over the years have changed my profile pic many times. At one time it was the dreaded cock pic. Then returned to face pic as people kept saying they were fed up of cock pix. However, despite that, have to say the number of viewings of my profile dropped quite considerably after returning to face pic. Now, while I may have a face that keeps kids away from the fire, it would seem that while people say they don't want to see cock pix they are quick enough to look at them when they are there. For a single guy it gets confusing and never gets easier lol.

Prefer to know if there's an attraction right away, so why not send face pic initially. Saves a lot of bother when you think you get on great, then realise you don't fancy the person.

I think that's why people "demand" face pics, if you get a lot of messages it certainly acts as a quick filter to just chat with those you at least find physically attractive.

As with everything on here, I don't do anything I'm not comfortable with. If and when I want to send a face pic, I will. I'd never demand one off the bat and actually enjoy chatting for a while first.

I appreciate this frustrates a lot of folk but in the grand scheme of things, couldn't give a fuck.

Not everyone takes a good picture. I’ve met some people who are much better looking in person than their pic shows.

Face pics need to be clear, recent and a decent size. Trying to enlarge a small pic just makes it blurry.

If a profile says "no pic no reply" then we don't bother. Usually find these profiles have absolutely no pics either public or friends so don't see why we should jump through hoops just to maybe get a reply. We don't mind sending early in the conversation but won't send first if the other isn't at least pic verified. Been caught a few times so wary nowadays.
