Probably, I’d take the term as someone who plays games with peoples feelings and such.

My impression was always someome who plays the field be it guys chasing and catching women or vice versa but never having the intention of settling down with them. Having thier fun , playing, then moving on . He is a player. Mostly guys it refers too but women can be players too. While we may not like the term , it is a fitting term. Not so much on Fab as both parties know having a meet for fun is simply a mutual beneficial encounter, a meet for a player is , in a way a deception that more dates/ relatiinship type occurences will happen with that person and they might have a future together. They probably wont !!

I agree with Bluebell and there's definitely a few men I've come across who fall into this category. Some men just don't care who they hurt but means we just stay away from them

This and doggy's comment put together I'd say, I see some girls from pof which is a "dating" site, I don't class myself as a player as I'm honest with them pretty much from the start that it's friendship and sex only, if I lied and told them I wanted a relationship and that they were the only girl for me, then change my persona towards them the minute I get my leg over, then I'd class myself as a player, because I played them!
