"Yeah, I used to think there were some interesting topics posted on the forums... Then I realised it was the same people posting different stuff every day and it made me yawn" Oooh...controversial My opinions have changed. It's generally been for the better though. I've perhaps been too quick to judge then seen someone in a different light after speaking to them in the chatroom or via pm. A few who I've thought were fuds and have acted accordingly. And a couple who I don't particularly like but who regularly make me laugh with their forum posts! Which can be annoying. Also a handful of sound folk who still seem sound.

"Yeah, I used to think there were some interesting topics posted on the forums... Then I realised it was the same people posting different stuff every day and it made me yawn" Believe it or not there's not to many who post topics and if they do it's few and far between. Doesn't matter if it's the same people post, if it's a crap topic it won't last if it's a good topic then it will be busy enough. If the same people only start it cause others don't post then it doesn't mean they will continue to add to that particular post, up to others to debate on it if they want. If someone starts a forum post about 'topics on forum used to be interesting but not now' don't blame me, your the one who game them ideas Anyways that's a whole different ball game so what are your perceptions of people on fab, have they changed much ?

"I use the forum as a way of sussing out who to avoid and who are the shit stirrers. My blocked list has got a lot longer " Yeah I do that as well to a certain extent but has your views changed of anyone whom you met socially obviously not in a one to one but in a bigger social that you have been to or whom you have watched or chatted to in the chat room, even if your view changed in a pleasantly surprised way. Off topic, it was the same up until year n a half ago but if you block 200 people then they were automatically unblocked. Not sure if this coding flaw was sorted Anyways folks, back to topic. has your views/perception of people on fab changed ?

"I use the forum as a way of sussing out who to avoid and who are the shit stirrers. My blocked list has got a lot longer " Woooooohòooooo im not blocked To your question Peter, i try not to make opinions of people through anonymous posts on an internet forum as people can come across very different from what they are really like face to face. Everyone can come across in the chatrooms differently, one persons funny as fck can be anothers cheaky cnut. One persons nice guy can be anothers arrogant bighead. I have a feeling what someone may be like but have been wrong in the past as to what they were like in person. Take me and you peter, we have had our differences in the forums but i took them with a pinch of salt, i said in a past thread if we ever met at a social id buy you a beer, before even really knowing me you told me you would refuse my beer offer and would tell me why. Not everyone is the same in person as on a forum . Offer stands though lol. Interesting topic.

"I'd say my perceptions of many have pretty much remained consistent. I don't believe most of what people claim/claim to be on here. Chatting to them usually confirms I've been right in the first place " Do you mean chatting to them in person or chatting to them through keyboards ?

If they type shite, I'm gonna assume they talk shite so wouldn't be inclined to chat with them in person

He is asking when you meet FACE TO FACE has your perception changed. We will assume your not in a position to answer from experience then merely a perception of your own judgement on people then . ?

Im sure horsey will clarify if i have misread his meaning.

(ducks)" To be honest its all aspects, that's why I posted it. Seeing someone post on the forums and then bump into each other at a big social. Seeing someone in the chat room and you have a view then seeing their posts on a forum and change your mind. Even reading statuses and then changing your mind after meeting them at an event etc... There are people who make assumptions/views of me, it happens, am I like that person they think I am. I cannot say as I only know myself and they way I am which hopefully if people meet me they actually just enjoy my company enough in any capacity to think that they would enjoy my company again. There are people I enjoy reading their posts, people I don't like and due to these assumptions and perceptions are sometimes right. I'm happy with my views but I know I give everyone the benefit of the doubt and I like to think I'm usually right in my views but I have been proven wrong by quite a few who are not what I originally perceived them to be, good or bad.

"So Peter has your perception of anyone changed and if so for the better or worse?" Well I've been on fab quite a while so yes. Actually had a few personal messages in regards to this post lol and I was saying that at the recent Ayrshire Social. I had a view of the newbies and people I hadn't met and it was all good perceptions but my views of everyone including yourself after the event was even way better than I originally thought. Some I even found out were amazing kissers and taught me a lot

R " Not sure what I said before but out of everything, status updates are the least that I take into account, mainly because my status updates are just usually a laugh or carry on etc... so not taken seriously and I'm the same with others. I do admit, sometimes a status slips up with a single female's profile saying her BF are both looking for a meet, when sometimes that profile has started she is single. I usually don't block, just add details to the private notes of that profile
