Guys who do not read profiles

Given that the brain is meant to be the sexiest thing for a lot of people, why is reading profiles before you contact someone such an ordeal?

Is it laziness, lack of manners or just not thinking?

I find myself saying 'info in the profile'. Surely, the first message one gets or the first chat gives the first impression - why fail it miserably?

I would completely agree with J there, our profile says we will not accept friend invites without speaking to you or know you. Couples fire away with invites, i think if they cant even be bothered to write a message it doesent bode well.

Like you I just dont get why they dont read, single men i would imagine stand more of a chance by reading the profile so they can form a message that would appeal to the person/couple.

Having just rejoined after a sojourn, I think more single men ARE reading the profiles and sending targeted messages than they did before. Sure, there are still some of the 'Fancy a f right now?' variety but not many. Maybe the age filter helps.Almost all my messages have been polite and respectful. I personally think the ones (single m/f/couples) who DON'T read profiles mostly think this a free for all sex site which is actually very helpful as it sorts them out quite quickly
