Historically, probably the most irrritating aspect of the Fab forums for me, especially noticeable in the Scotland one.

This is nothing more than me getting a long-held gripe off my chest, but PLEASE can the guilty parties stop (inadvertently or otherwise) stop killing purposeful threads with “humorous” posts that actually serve no purpose other than to demonstrate their wit.

I can understand someone answering or positively contributing to discussion and managing to include a little humour in the process but more often than not the wannabe comedian doesn’t have anything relevant to say and ends up simply killing the thread entirely with some feeble jibe or wisecrack.

Of course the same people will now feel the need to inject a comment totally left-field, “wacky” or purposely obscure.

Please restrain yourselves, you mental midgets.

Behave! It's a public forum where people are free to say what they want. If you don't like it then don't join in but don't come on telling other people how they should contribute to the forums.

Im sure in amongst this mental midgets witty comment theres plenty of comments from people with different opinions cos the forumn is asking opinions and experiences and you cant control what someone else comments wether its relevant or not to your post

seems alot of people think this is some sort of private pals forum where only certain folk they like can post.

As someone above said..it's an open forum open too all!

Mental midgets, lmfao love it. I agree OP , lots of keyboard warriers too mate. You will get to realise its the same 2 or 3 people that do it, keep your eyes on the threads, they usually post in pairs , within 1 or 2 posts of each other always saying the same old drivel. Keyboard midget warriors sounds even better. Lmfao.

Is this not a contradictory statement itself. YOUR telling HIM he cant tell others how they should post. If it wasnt so stupid it would be hilarious.

So far...your post on this thread sounds most like fighting talk.

Like a forum justice warrior. And perhaps not drivel free

Yeah I suppose it is contradictory but most folk will get what I mean. I see what you mean by the keyboard warrior though

Most folk will also get what i mean about posting within 1 or 2 messages of each other too. Obviously donsnt mean anything , just purely coincidence im sure.

The best part of most threads is when they go on tangents. Very rarely they go to 175 comments anyway. Let people just do what they want

Best to ignore them and get the forum post back on topic. They’ll get fed up.

I have to disagree OP. This happens all the time in The Lounge and it can be funny.

It would be boring as fuck if the threads stayed completely on track, you get to see people's true colours (a bit), who is funny and who's a complete pain in the hoop.

I apologise OP

That being said, a lot of the time threads go off at a tangent by accident. This is just what happens in real life with a group of people talking in the pub. It’s part of life I’m afraid.

Just keep on track and ignore posts that head off at a tangent, not everyone reads every post and a lot tend to ignore the sort of posts you’re talking about.

Above all, keep posting and ignore those who annoy you and have fun

If I didn’t have better things to do with my time then perhaps I’d spend a lot more time on the forums and be quite happy to while away hours on mindless chit chat.

As it happens I’d rather conduct my socialising and meandering conversations in the real world and spend my online time more constructively.

Well at least a thread like this is good for one thing. It’s quite a good sounding board and an indicator of character/mindset, allowing easy sifting and sorting of other users.

You were lied to Max, they're interbreeding these days so if the reds are dabbing with greys why discriminate
