DO YOU THINK TIME WASTERS SHOULD BE NAMED AND SHAMED ON HERE, AS PEOPLE PAY OUT FOR BABY SITTERS AND THINGS, AND SOME PEOPLE AINT EVEN GOT THE DECENCY TO CALL YOU OR MESSAGE YOU TO SAY ITS CANCELLED,

I KNOW SITE SAYS NO NAMING AND SHAMING, BUT TIME WASTERS SHOULD BE BLACK MARKED AND AFTER 3 MARKS BE BANNED,,,,

You never know what's happened...but if all is well with the person they should most definitely have the decency to let you know in plenty of time even if they've developed cold feet!

Sadly if you did name and shame them you'd probably be the one banned from the site for breaking the rules. If people are not going to manage a meeting then yes they should obviously contact the other person and say it's cancelled. We all know things can come up and spoil the best plans BUT it's only decent to let the person know, not just ignore them

you arranged to meet me last nite i booked a hotel room paid for baby sitters and you didnt turn up i know thats not true you know thats not true can you see how it would be open to abuse ? word soon gets around about timewasters hunni .

When people treat people that way it just makes it more difficult for new people that have not long joined. Its understandable as single male profiles are ten a penny. If you know you cant make an arrangement just be honest about it.

I dont know if i should be commenting myself as i am only new myself

The site has a report option which in turn has an option to report no shows, if everyone used this timewasters would soon be exterminated

personally we cant comment as every one we arranged a meet with was decent enough to come,,,,

I know its not always convieniant but i always say do a social meet before hand if you can ...if not a social meet then at least a telephone call to both parties if its a couple.

That can be a double edged sword.

Some ppl bad mouth other couples/singles to their friends circle resulting in the couple/single getting a very bad reputation for no reason at all.

Word of mouth can be a very dangerous thing.

Admin need proof.

They cant take one users word against anothers. As PM's are logged, as is the chat they can look at that to ascertain what was (or wasnt) said and take the appropriate action.

Am sure that you would want admin to look for proof if someone reported you.

I am sympathetic to people who have had their time wasted.

what I've started to do is refuse to meet anyone on the friend's list of timewasters or anyone who has verified them.

I've asked them to remove themselves off the timewasters friend's list, when they want to meet me.

naming and shaming might have a place, but it means that anyone can say anything about you on their profile, and you cannot really defend yourself, if someone just lies about you or gets the facts wrong.

Just move on, and look for the genuine users, xx

Never had much if indeed any timewasters in years being on the scene either as a single or couple. I treat everyone as a timewaster initially and follow my highway code to swinging.

The most important one of all is gut instinct it never lets me down.

Which is exactly why name and shame has no place at all and ppl who do it rightly get a ban.

reporting profile for time wasting is only way to go ..admin may not act on your profile alone but if it was a repetitive action with other members then they would be able to act on pattern of behaviour an remove said timewaster from site ...ok maybe not the most expedient solution but has to be the safest ..we all know things happen in life that upsets plans but if said timewasters great auntys grannys best pal next door has passed away well whit can ya do
